Ive got a nasty viral infection
I saw a gptonight at the hub as mysurgery was full. All thegp said was take antibiotics. He said i have a temperature and swollen glands. I told him i had nausea and aching joints. Hedid not suggest pai killers for the joints or anti nausea
I came home and my joi ts were so bad i could not sleep so i took some painkillers and the aching noints have gone and i can sleep. I dont understanf whd why he didnt suggest this. Why should i stay in pain. He also said my weight loss was due to my infection but if istill have weight loss after im better then it is serious. I dont think that comment was helpful

I do enjoy how confident some people are with their incorrect assertions. Sometimes antibiotics are prescribed inappropriately. You can absolutely develop a secondary bacterial infection from a viral infection. An immunocompromised person, for example, is at risk of a bacterial lower respiratory infection from a viral infection such as; a cold.
