Light hearted thread with a hint of real displeasure.

DH loves his black loafers with tassels. Wears them at the office everyday. I was secretly hoping I'd never see them again as they are on their last legs but today he bought a replacement pair on his way home.

I'm going to have to see them for another decade. I hate the tassels. I wouldn't mind plain black boring loafers.

AIBU to be planning ways to disappear them or plotting their untimely demise?

Yeah they are awful, they look like women's shoes, if a guy showed up on a date wearing them, I would be totally put off.

I didn't mind these when my husband wore them FORTY years ago! 😂 Have they come back into fashion?

I had a burgundy pair of those for school in 1983.

Out of interest I looked on the tube today to see if could spot any. There was one lady with a pair with tassels so long they almost reached the end of the shoes. Also 4 men in blue suits who seemed likely candidates but they all had brown loafers on.

I showed DH the thread. He was amused and surprised and didn't realise how offensive I had found the shoes. He said it was more of a comfort thing really. He didn't quite say what the next step was but I am quietly positive.
