To think it’s not just me who gets a weird Fanjo feeling

My daughter just showed me where she cut herself shaving in the shower last night. She came downstairs yesterday and announced that she’d caused the bathroom to look “a bit like a crime scene” and this also brought on the same bodily response. When she showed me her wound just now it happened again.
DD noticed my reaction and claimed to know what I was experiencing.
we both describe it as a bit like when you go over one of those bumps in the road that make your tummy somersault briefly…except this is felt in the vagina region.
Why the hell would that happen? Does anyone else experience this? Is it our cervix clamping shut in some kind of anti preocreative response to danger - albeit a bit OTT a response?

Yes I definitely get this and have seen it mentioned on here now and again over the years. It's very weird but obviously'a thing'.

PiggieWig · 18/09/2024 21:23

Yes! The first time I experienced it was at the top of Blackpool Tower 🤣

IswearIneverhadagun · 18/09/2024 21:26

Me too!!! Especially when I'm imagining something that causes pain OR if I hear a really loud, sudden noise.

Mandoidi · 18/09/2024 21:26

My feet also 'panic' when I see or visualise a slippy floor, especially if I'm just in socks. Like a tingly sweaty clenchy sensation that makes me feel frightened. Anyone else get something like that?

Ontheorangeside · 18/09/2024 21:28

I get exactly this over heights/tall buildings. Instant sensation in my pelvic area.

GoldThumb · 18/09/2024 21:28

comeondover · 18/09/2024 20:46

It's minge cringe

Perfect! 👌

Sugarysnacks · 18/09/2024 21:30

PiggieWig · 18/09/2024 21:23

Exactly this! I was just thinking the worst time I ever had it was at Blackpool tower and my son and grandkids trying to coax me onto that glass panel of floor! I couldn’t say to them this is seriously affecting my fanny 😳

ShatParp · 18/09/2024 21:35

I thought this was going to be about fanny daggers! (Javelin arse but in the vag)
I get this feeling in my tummy but never noticed it in the fanny region!!! I only started getting it in the last year or so after being more stressed in general. Next time I get it I will see if I notice it down below. Maybe my sad perimenopausal muff has just given up and lost all sensation?!

Lolatusernamesuggestions · 18/09/2024 21:37

Oh I totally get the javelin butt, fanny dagger but nothing remotely nice like the gallops, not even when looking at sexy DH or being dangled off high ropes. It must be dead or something.

SleepToad · 18/09/2024 21:37

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 18/09/2024 20:01

I call it anxious fanny. It feels like I'm trying to tuck everything safely in.

Being male..I call it ball shrinking...that feeling you get when some other man gets clattered in the knackers and yours shrink up to climb inside

comeondover · 18/09/2024 21:37

As pp have said, fanny gallops are delightful.

I get minge cringe in association with feelings of disgust/fear

Moveonward · 18/09/2024 21:38

OMG me and my young daughter both get this- I
mosly get it when I feel my kids are in danger such as climbing up high or if I’m near a steep drop high up. We call it fizzy minnie! I’m really surprised others get this it must be an evolutionary thing around possible risk

JubileeJuice · 18/09/2024 21:38

Yes! I only get it when it's to do with someone else's injuries! How odd.

ChampagneLassie · 18/09/2024 21:39

This is hilarious. I do not experience this but curious others do

comeondover · 18/09/2024 21:41

I was so grateful when on a similar thread a few years ago, another MNer described this phenomenon. Until then I thought I was just a weirdo. The relief was so great, I even remember her username.

FindingMeno · 18/09/2024 21:42

Yes, I get this too.

AgileGreenSeal · 18/09/2024 21:42

Yes, YES.

never had a name for it but I FEEL it!

HalloweenGrinch · 18/09/2024 21:42

I get such sensations in my knees. As does DD1, suggesting some heritable neuropathy. Aren't humans fascinating?

Rainallnight · 18/09/2024 21:43

Yes me too! I always thought I was a weirdo!

HalloweenGrinch · 18/09/2024 21:43

Not neuropathy- neuroanatomy

rainsofcastamere · 18/09/2024 21:44

MissBecca182 · 18/09/2024 19:47

Fanny gallops and javelin arse have me crying!

And yes, I completely recognise what you're describing!

Javelin Arse is Bum Shoots in my house!

SecondFavouriteDinosaur · 18/09/2024 21:44

TheReturnOfFeathersMcGraw · 18/09/2024 20:07

I feel it more in my coccyx area - its the same when the dc jump off anything high up in minecraft!

Yes, I get it in my coccyx too!

rainsofcastamere · 18/09/2024 21:45

I also get it in my coccyx!

PiggieWig · 18/09/2024 21:47

Oh, I get the heebie jeebies in my feet too sometimes!

Never experienced javelin arse though.

Showbel · 18/09/2024 21:48

You're not alone
I got the same feeling when my dog was neutered and I checked her wound which was weird. Perhaps it's because we are both female? 🤔
