Discussion at work quite a few years ago, inspired by the Demi Moore film. I was younger and had more money than now. If someone asked you to sleep with them for x amount of money-say half a million, would you? Missionary only, over quickly
I was aghast and said no, most said of course they would.

Now, I think I feel differently

If it was the opposite of unpleasant & you both fell head over heels in love with each other then subsequently devastated a happy family life with your husband and children. Is it still worth it in this scenario?

That's not 'love'. It's lust, attraction, chemicals etc at first sight. You don't love someone, unless you've given birth to them, at first sight. Love grows, it can develop quickly, if you spend a lot of time together, or slowly. But not at 'first sight'.

For that amout of money I'd put on a great show in the hope of regular business.

I can remember watching the Demi Moore film years ago with my mum and sister, DS and I were both idealistic late teens early twenties who said definitely not, would never have sex for money, while my mother late 40s said that as a one off for £1m she absolutely would.

Now I'm her age, older and much more cynical, provided I could do so safely I absolutely agree with her and my answer would be yes. I can't imagine anyone offering any sort of money for me though, so I can't think I will ever be troubled by having to make this decision in real life.

I was propositioned in a bar in Barbados. I was sitting quietly with my DH & dressed quite conservatively. A man who was obviously very rich and there with a crowd of women who looked like film stars approached my husband and said take your pick if I can have your wife for one night. This wasn't an offer of money but I'm sure by the way he was acting so insistent it could have been. At that moment I knew no amount of money would have persuaded me to go back to his villa for sex so my answer would have to be no.

I would say yes but I know that my husband wouldn't want me to for any amount of money so I would have to say no. It wouldn't bother me at all if I was getting enough to buy a house.
