Always weigh more at night than the morning, is this the norm? Husband says it's not

I always weigh around 3/4 pounds more at night than in the morning, I think that's normal but my husband will weigh the same regardless of when he weighs himself. Am I unusual??

Have you just eaten?

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 08/09/2024 18:56

I weigh less in the morning. I pee a lot during the night and assume it's that.

ValentinesDayCryingInTheHotel · 08/09/2024 18:57

I’m the same! I always prefer to weigh myself first thing if I’m trying to lose weight or want an accurate reading

HaPPy8 · 08/09/2024 18:57

Completely normal!

Pixiewombat · 08/09/2024 18:57

Nope, it's water and food and all sorts.

Used to drive me mad as I can add a lot of weight over the day...

Yes, it's normal.

TomatoSandwiches · 08/09/2024 18:58

It's completely normal, especially for women, our weight changes with our hormone fluctuations which go through many more stages than men do..

SmallGoddess · 08/09/2024 18:58

It's normal. You're dehydrated first thing in the morning.

HerVagestyTheQueef · 08/09/2024 18:59

Yes of course it’s normal: you’ve digested everything from yesterday and haven’t drunk anything for hours.
I always weigh myself in the morning!

DingDongDell70 · 08/09/2024 18:59

Completely normal. How often are you weighing yourself?

I8toys · 08/09/2024 18:59

I thought it was obvious as you take in fluid and food during the day? I remember going to weightwatchers in the evening for the weigh in and having a pee before the weigh in. Anything to get the numbers down.

Createausername1970 · 08/09/2024 18:59

Yes. Being very crude, if you can manage a wee and a poo very first thing, you will be a bit light still. But it comes back after tea and toast!

CheeseWisely · 08/09/2024 19:03

Regardless of the question, how often are you weighing yourself twice a day, because I would be more worried about that not being normal if it's a daily thing?

Catza · 08/09/2024 19:05

I thought it was such an obvious thing... Everything you put in your mouth throughout the day and that you don't poo, pee or sweat out is going to add to your scale weight. Imagine standing on the scale and holding a box containing all your food and liquids for the day. That's essentially what's happening in the evenings.
Of your husband always weighs the same, he is not human.

dreamer24 · 08/09/2024 19:06

Totally normal, I'm always at least 3lbs lighter on a morning. I obviously take that to be my actual weight 😅

8misskitty8 · 08/09/2024 19:07

lighter In the morning due to not eating/drinking for hours and food digested. Especially if you’ve had a wee or a poo before weighing.

LauderSyme · 08/09/2024 19:10

And here's an example of a man pontificating about a woman's health, despite his utter lack of knowledge. A bit like much of the modern medical profession, unfortunately.

thenightsky · 08/09/2024 19:12

I'm always at least 3 or 4lb heavier in the evening than the morning. Even if I've had a day of eating very little.

SaffronsMadAboutMe · 08/09/2024 19:14

I thought everyone weighed less in the morning unless they sit up all night eating?

If I'm going to weigh myself it's normally first thing in the morning after a poo.

OverShrinkerThinker · 08/09/2024 19:14

Weigh yourself in the morning before you eat anything and preferably after a great big TURD. That's your real weight.

Zanatdy · 08/09/2024 19:15

i always weigh 3-4lbs more at night than morning too. I always weigh in the morning but did used to do both for a time and I always weighed a few pounds more

PrettyParrot · 08/09/2024 19:15

Very normal. Water retention, food, poo, urine....

Combattingthemoaners · 08/09/2024 19:15

Is this a serious question!? You eat and drink throughout the day right?
