Has anyone else got the email being invited to the ballot for the new dates?

If anyone got an email today, the code is right at the bottom of the email.

Well it'll be interesting to see how well the sale goes tomorrow...

I think there still will be complaints over people having a ballot but timing out of their 1.5hr slot.

There will also be issues with site traffic despite this I suspect.

And we haven't yet been told if dynamic pricing will be in action.

If there is a problem, then not all tickets may go in the slots. If that's the case, what happens to the left overs.

Will be interesting to see.

jenkel · 13/09/2024 16:28

My daughter got one, at 1.09, she is the only person I know out of loads ( including me and dh) that were in the ballot that has one. My other daughter had signed it to her ticket master acct on 2 devices on the day the first tickets went on sale, got to choose her tickets and then was thrown out before she could complete and no invite to the ballot.

FunkyMonks · 13/09/2024 16:37

Didn't get a code they've released that everyone that was getting one has a code and the rest of us sods luck.
Think I'm done with the whole bollocks I won't be wasting another day of mine trying to get tickets.

It says they "expect" each slot to last "approximately" 1.5 hours... so I'm assuming each queue will be open till they're all gone.

I hate to say it but am curiously relieved not to have got a code. Felt like I had to enter the ballot after getting the email but the idea of another Saturday queing for overpriced tickets isn’t that appealing. Sour grapes probably but it’s working for me Grin That will all change if I get one am sure…

It's a bit curious. It definitely seems like an incredibly small % of people received them. I know 16 people who were confirmed in the ballot and none of them got one.

CometCupidDonnerBlitzen · 13/09/2024 16:59

Another one who was in the ballot but hasn't had an e-mail. Getting a bit sick of it all now if I'm honest. I'm not sure I'll try again even if more dates get added.

BigBundleOfFluff · 13/09/2024 17:01

Out of a group of 6, 1 of us got a code. I'm still not very hopeful. Determined not to invest so much time into it this time but I know I'll get swept up in the drama of it all.
Really hoping for no dynamic pricing.

MrsChestnut · 13/09/2024 17:02

Boo no code for me either ☹️

No code here either. I’m almost relieved the decision has been made for me!

Rah88 · 13/09/2024 17:39

No code here. Wonder how random selection was.

FriendlyNeighbourhoodAccountant · 13/09/2024 17:48

Didn't their initial ballot email say codes were being sent out by 9pm tonight?

Skisearcher · 13/09/2024 17:52

Unlucky in the ballot - can’t quite believe how unlucky Iv been trying to obtain these. Ah well…does anyone know when any resale tickets usually happen for the people who decide they don’t want them or cannot attend any longer?

There was a Twitter message from Oasis earlier this afternoon saying all codes have now been sent.

No code for me either :(

Summerdew · 13/09/2024 18:00

No code here either, absolutely gutted but clearly not meant to be. Hope those who have codes get tickets and have an amazing time.

Chickydoo · 13/09/2024 18:15

Out of 4 of us in the family...no codes...

It did, but it's clear from social media that anyone who got one received it between 1-2pm, and none have appeared after that. As it's now past 6pm, I highly doubt any more are coming. Startlingly few seem to have gone out.

Ah ok, mine came through at 13:09 so about right I guess. I'd love to know how many codes have been sent, especially considering not all those with codes will get tickets. Must be hundreds of thousands still.

Yeah, the maths is strange to me. Three new dates, so circa 270k tickets (though we know the organisers hold some back). Polls on Twitter suggest 8% of those in the ballot received codes. So it's ... weird.

I completely relate to this. I actually found it all so bloody stressful. I was so over it that Saturday, hours and hours spent trying to get on to the websites, waiting in queues, constantly being kicked out, being told I’m a bot. It was so draining!

I actually have some work to do tomorrow and juggling that and trying to buy tickets would have been even more stressful.

i have seen them quite a few times, including Knebworth though I am gutted for my DC who really wanted tickets.

OH, well.

MrsChestnut · 13/09/2024 18:55

Yeah my DH has got a rugby match tomorrow and I’m feeling quite content I can have a glass of wine tonight and then saunter off to enjoy watching him in the morning without any stress or distraction

It's only two new dates isn't it? 27th and 28th of September, so 180k tickets, presumably everyone wanted to buy the maximum of 2 per person it's 90k people who will be successful with their codes.

You're right! Don't know why I said three. I would have imagined they'd release more codes can tickets available, however – assuming they are looking to easily sell out. Do we think more than a million people were in the ballot?

SpanielPaws · 13/09/2024 19:13

I've not had one. Bit disappointed in a way but equally relieved not to have the horror of ticketmaster again. I think they've probably made sure that everyone with a code will get 2 tickets which is fair enough I guess.
