Feral children

Several children, have been arrested in connection with the death of an 80 year old dog walker.

What is wrong with children today? I remember the Bulger case and it sent shockwaves around the world, now people just accept that children kill.

That's your story and that's great. But you are the exception rather than the rule.

You have evidence?

Why did they come in the first place? Were they paid too?

Not sure, sorry.

You've got me proper banged to rights on this one, Guv. In reality all of the members of this underclass are actually loveable rogues, just pesky rough diamonds with 'arts of gold. Eagerly awaiting a chance to move up the social ladder and become wholesome, productive members of the community.

So, no.

No. Not a single scrap of evidence. Damn, I would have got away with it too, if it wasn't for your pesky pedantry.

Yes the long term unemployed number is falling.

Its all very well people being critical of some behaviors but what is the alternative?
Mass sterilisation? the Work House? take away benefits and get their children out begging?

All have been tried before, so what should we do?

Well what do you think we should do when 1 in 4 adults don’t work and claim benefits, and we are stretched so thinly we slide into 2nd world country status?

Because that figure above is very nearly the reality.

The best thing to do is have a Brexit referendum, keep wages low, bring in loads of immigrants, don't invest in infrastructure or public services, give million pound contracts to your mates, waste billions more, sink the economy with uncosted tax cuts and point at asylum seekers and the poor and blame them for the mess.

No, that’s what we shouldn’t do. Now say what we should.

‘Mates’ 🙄

Sterilise anyone earning under 30k, build a big wall around estates with armed guards. Put in webcams so we can watch them fight for crusts of bread. Call people who raise concerns snowflakes and Disney. Don't bother with prisons, just throw them in the ghettos and lock the doors.

Jobs a good'n.

So if taxing the rich (even more) and just raising wages with a click of the fingers is possible, why haven’t Labour done exactly that? Why are we looking at yet more cuts?

Well it would never happen but the rest of the country would be beautiful, clean and prosperous, with excellent public services and virtually no crime.

Do you really believe that rich children never commit crimes? Because that would be hilarious.

I think they’re far less likely to.

Are you actually advocating this as a desirable course of action?

I would consider it. Morally I’m opposed to harming anyone for any reason but practicality takes over sometimes. If the choice is between living in a crime ridden shit hole where hardworking decent people do nothing but work to pay for scumbags while being burgled and assaulted for the pleasure of it, I’ll take the alternative.

Blueybanditbingochilli · 05/09/2024 16:45

You’ll also note Baby P’s ‘mother’ is now back in jail for breaching her licence conditions. We have spent millions on that piece of filth since she was jailed, while libraries are closed and children wait 10 hours in A&E. How can anyone justify this? The terror that poor little boy went through means she has forfeited her right to life in my opinion.

So you believe in the death penalty as well. How about euthanasia for the elderly, disabled and mentally ill including anyone with an expensive illness that's a drain on resources? Throw in the homeless as they just make everything untidy.

That saves a few quid.

No because they’re blameless. If you can’t tell the difference between an elderly person and a murderer morally, then you have issues.

There are plenty of hardworking decent people who earn less than 30k a year.

Boomer55 · 05/09/2024 16:50

I think feral adults and kids is about more than where they live and what they earn .. It’s about parenting, whatever anyone’s earnings. It’s about teaching the kids properly,

I'm working class, always lived in SH, and fine about it, but I bought up the kids to be responsible and law-abiding.🤷‍♀️. Which they are.

It’s what most of us do, regardless of class, money, where we live, excuses etc.🙄

That was another poster’s arbitrary figure. I disagree with it. I would consider mandatory sterilisation for anybody who has had children taken into care, or who have ever neglected a child. In fact I think it’s a very good idea. The child’s rights trump theirs.

ilovesooty · 05/09/2024 16:54

You didn't initially disagree with the idea of sterilising anyone earning under 30k though.

And there's been plenty of demonising of the poor on the thread.
