Adele announcing she will not be making new music for a very very long time.

she’s fine to make whatever choices she wants…..what’s it to you?

And??? So she's doing her hugely successful residency which she seems to really enjoy & is earning a fortune in royalties.

Must be great to know you can choose to work when it suits you & that your family are financially secure forever.

Good on her. She's not obliged to make any more music. She could retire if she wanted but is obviously prioritising performing

I really can't stand her music. And all her cockney, down to earth shtick is wearing exceptionally thin at this point.
So yeah, hopefully she'll retire and enjoy her fortunes!

She has a 12 year old son and is engaged... plus £m's in the bank... don't know about you but I would be spending my time enjoying my child and my life.

From the article on the BBC it didn't read like she'd put out a statement or anything, more likely that a journalist asked her and she answered. I don't understand what she's done that's worthy of criticism.

You seem inordinately pissed off for very little reason.

She's an artist with a lot of fans – the announcement is for them. Or do you proposed she or her management contact the fans individually so as not to cause you any bother in hearing or reading anything peripherally?

When a business closes for custom, they will inform customers. Same thing. I suggest you get out more.

People speculate on when their favourite artists might be releasing a new album / going on tour. She’s managing her fans’ expectations by saying it’s not on the cards right now. What’s wrong with that?

Yes she always takes a long break..like she said last time. Only apparently 7/ 8 was longer than planned cos of covid lol.
This time I'm guessing 15 years then lol
It's nothing new. But for fans that like her it's probably annoying waiting that long.
But they will move on now as the music probably isn't as good as each new one comes out.

she doesn’t offend me….although I would never pay to see her …, that said, I saw her at Glastonbury in 2016 and enjoyed a lovely singalong with my mates to her songs……she is what she is…..get over it …..I didn’t know anything about this news, so obviously don’t get the same news feeds as you,.,..you need to be a bit more selective ….of course there will be interest amongst her wide fan base….doesn’t mean you have to take any interest though…..I just couldn’t get myself worked up about shit like this

I don't buy her finally enjoying her money/life as she always has long breaks anyway. Literally 5 or 6 years away from all music.
Nothing new. So didn't make sense.
She's been enjoying her life for years and years then does some shows.

You seem unduly annoyed by this. I get it, there are random things that push my buttons too.
She's said it so people won't keep asking when she's bringing a new album out.
I'm not an Adele fan...but this seems like common sense to me.
