Since he ran 30 marathons in 30 days in the Jordanian desert for charity?
He's all over the shop today on telly and radio talking about his experience and he just seems really genuine and humble. Not at all Made in Chelsea anymore.
Or do I need to give my head a wobble?

Nah, I watched him on mic he was just awful. Glad he's raising money but it's all about what he can get out of it.

Mytattooisbiggerthanyours · 30/08/2024 23:06

There was someone on here who worked in TV and she said that when they were filming his cooking show on location he came into her hotel room and w in her hair.

@Saucison His company has recently folded.

LoneHydrangea · 30/08/2024 23:10

I’m not familiar with him. But I’m impressed he’s done whatever he’s done. His body looks incredible but his face looks traumatised.

Also, we buy shed loads of his Clean Gin. Had no idea it was his company, but I rate it highly.

angrymum82 · 30/08/2024 23:16

Off point but I remember an interview with vogue where she was really vile about Brian Mcadams (who she was with previously) basically saying he was gross and she couldn't believe she ever was with him.

Now she's with Spencer who I would argue is much more cringe in every way.

It's a big achievement no doubt but it's also a massive publicity thing and I still don't think they are particularly nice people.

angrymum82 · 30/08/2024 23:17

Oh god it's Brian McFadden, apologies 😂

Ohmychristdawn · 30/08/2024 23:18

@LoneHydrangea CleanCo has recently folded, so you'd better stock up now whilst you can.

To the people saying 'do you realise MIC was a TV show?' are you saying the people who appeared on it were actors? If that's the case, why hasn't a single one of them gone on to more acting projects?

Can't stand Spencer, or anyone from the show really.. Ollie was quite funny but not seen anything of him recently

No, it was heavily scripted. They are it actors

Dee9409 · 30/08/2024 23:34

The simple facts are that he is going to inherit millions, his brother is married to part royalty. He is extremely privileged. He has chosen to use this to raise money for charity, he didn’t have to do any of it. I have so much respect for him. There are people who are billionaires who wouldn’t even think about tipping £10 but yet he has raised over £500,000. He stayed away from his family, it would be easy for him to just be living his life but he has CHOSEN to make a difference. Well done Spencer!

Mirabai · 30/08/2024 23:37

As Vogue’s aunt said “A little of Spencer goes a long way”.

BobbyBiscuits · 31/08/2024 00:55

Gawd. I have limited exposure to him but from what I've seen he's awful. Didn't he take loads of steroids and have to leave I'm a celeb after half an hour or something?
His Mrs who does laundry detergent adverts is really grating as well!

Trixiefirecracker · 31/08/2024 06:23

I had the misfortune to come across a reel of their podcast and (Spencer and his wife) and they are just so bloody rude and awful to one another. Mainly her to be fair but not a nice dynamic.

Heatherbell1978 · 31/08/2024 06:39

I'm with you OP. I never really watched MIC so didn't have a formed opinion of him. And I don't judge people by how much money they have. He did an amazing thing and he seems like a nice kind guy.

Thanks, I don’t know.

I've got a really clear memory of him on Made in Chelsea telling a tearful Louise that he cheated on her repeatedly because she allowed him to. I don't think he's got a humble bone in his body but it's great that he's raised so much money for charity.

Yeah, that's the moment I think of too

He isn't a humble person either OP, which is fine

I think he's not a bad person at all, but perhaps your projecting because he's good looking and done something pretty amazing

missdeamenor · 31/08/2024 07:18

VelvetButCold · 30/08/2024 21:59

Yikes, I loathe him and his wife and the laundry advert..(which I doubt she even does at all)

Funny creatures aren’t we, since I don’t know them personally, or much about them at all

I would do an advert for bog paper if asked. I remember Judi Dench saying she bought a house from the proceeds of one Tesco advert. Money goes, where money is.

Flipsock · 31/08/2024 07:47

He’s changed since MIC. Unsurprisingly. He’s a grown up now with children. I quite like him. I do think he’s quite insecure though. I think his wife grounds him a bit.

Well, in MIC, he essentially had a script, though admittedly that was, from what I gather, essentially ‘Dopey rich kid behaves in entitled ways’, so maybe not much of a stretch.

HelenWheels · 31/08/2024 08:08

as long as he keeps off the drugs

Bubblesallaround · 31/08/2024 08:16

Hats off to him as I couldn’t do it..! He still gives me the ick though.

Fizbosshoes · 31/08/2024 08:35

For some reason I've always thought that the annoying laundry ad woman was Ronan Keatings wife....Blush

Obvs not really the point of the thread!

Bearpawk · 31/08/2024 08:40

As impressive as it is.... He's a horrible smug twat.

GreatMistakes · 31/08/2024 08:42

He was awful on MIC but some of that will be scripted so I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I suppose it matters to me who is donating. If hits his wealthy mates, crack on, absolutely fantastic. If it's fans who may not have much money themselves then I'm a little uncomfortable. Of course it's people's choice to donate and they can spend money how they like though.

So overall I'm not sure but fair play for him For actually doing something difficult to earn the money.

TemuSpecialBuy · 31/08/2024 08:48

YAGU

you are grossly unreasonable.
