To think that high heels are just not worth it

I've come back from a girls night out and feet are hurting like feck. Don't get me wrong, I have my fair share of heels but omg why do I honestly wear them?

To me heels = stilettos. Those are all just shoes, tbh I think they look masculine or almost childish dressy up, certainly not shoes I would wear

Masculine?

Ok let’s put it this way, certainly not feminine. Louboutins are feminine, these are kids dressy uppy

I love heels. I own hundreds (yes literally) of pairs. I have some that cost thousands of pounds. Some that cost hundreds. Some I don't wear because they are rare vintage designer pieces and irreplaceable. I look like a goddess in all of them. It's not just men who like them, plenty of women have told me I look incredible as well (I'm bi incase it's relevant). I like women in heels myself.

I don't say 'everybody in flat shoes is a frumpy old sack' because it's not my business or concern what other people wear. I have no opinion on the matter. I don't know why the flat shoe brigade get to have an opinion on what's on my feet? Frankly I don't care what they think.

If I was a single lesbian I’d marry you!

DMs aren’t remotely feminine. How do you feel about those when worn by women?

i don’t care either way but would never wear them myself. I think it’s an unattractive look but if the wearer isn’t bothered about that that’s their choice clearly

These are beautiful. As were the other links posted.

I don’t think they are child’s fancy dress at all or masculine or anything at all except pretty shoes. Other people are seeing all sorts of things in them, except a pair of shoes 🤣

And even if they were child’s fancy dress, your body your choice 🙂

Yeah, the builders working on the front of our house right now are wearing something almost exactly like them. I was going to put mine on to match but I've loaned them to the toddler down the street for dress up 😂

I'm not bothered if @Dreamingofretirement doesn't like them. I was just mostly interested in the definition of heels for the purposes of the thread, not opinions on the shoes. She just needed to be gratuitously unpleasant, I guess? Funnily enough, I have plenty of Louboutins too but almost never wear them now as they're considerably more stiletto-y than I generally go for these days as I do find them a bit outdated looking.

I do think a lot of people actually mean stilettos when they say heels.
