Mr Blippi Creepy Energy Confirmed With Horrible Past Career

Members of my family expressed unease with Mr Blippi a grown man in tight trousers and braces talking in a baby voice and walking children through playgrounds and spaces, talking to camera. I also felt this instinctively, something was off about it and tried to redirect my kid's attention away but the kid is hooked. Heavily branded (toys, games, you name it) it turns out he has a degree in marketing and used to put the vilest videos online as a character called Steezy Grossman, involving naked men and his own feces. He's worked hard to try and hide this part of his past, but what gets me the most is that his background is in marketing and search engine optimisation, not in education. He has no idea how to behave around kids and even before I knew a single thing about him, his show seems off to me. Look at how many times he spells out his name to children to memorise, or tells them to say his name over and over again as they wash their hands. He's feeding off our kids, admittedly all entertainment is doing that to some extent, but in this case, there's little else to it. It's parasitic and unwholesome.

I'd suggest in this instance because it is a children's show marketed at children so the creator should probably have an interest in children, rather than simply be making as much money as possible for the minimal amount of effort?

I'm not sure what you can find to dislike about Bluey.

Bluey's great. But it's not a charitable endeavour.

I've known a fair number of teachers, some very good actually, who disliked children. At least Blippi isn't in actual contact with them, assuming that he does actually dislike them. And given "man with interest in children" = creepy to many people, there's probably something to be said for playing it cool. I don't really see what's wrong with finding you have a talent for something and exploiting it to make money, even if your heart's not really in it 😁.

I don't hate Bluey but I find it dull and a bit worthy. Like a modern version of the improving morality tales that people used to read to their children.

My kids are too old for Bluey, we were firmly Blippi in his hay day.
I can still sing most of the songs.

Yes, crapping naked into another guys upturned ass has nothing intimate about it at all. Perfect kind of person I want my kids learning from and financing with our purchases.

Yes well I grew up on BBC kids and Blue Peter, most of them were educators first.
