What temperature is your house right now?

The back part of my new house is really good at keeping cool - due to hard floors and aspect I guess.

I’m in Berks, supposedly 29c outside.

House is showing 23.5c. Very grateful as I have young kids and a dog.

Just curious.

Our last house was a new build and unbearable, would often only be a degree below outside temps.

Not sure about outside right now but was 28 when I finished work at 3.
Living room is reading 35 degrees but the sun is directly into it all day.

If I am in charge of opening and closing curtains and windows on the correct sides of the house at the right time, it can be 30 degrees outside and 24 degrees inside.

DH is in charge of these things today, so I fully expect the inside of the house to be 30 degrees when I get home!

We have a conservatory which, thankfully, has double glazed doors into the house and this thankfully stops the heat transferring. That, with the doors and windows open, is currently 39.5 degrees!

Sounds like my DH. I don't understand why it's such a hard concept to close the windows and blinds when it's hotter outside than inside. (And open them all at night to cool down again).

32c in my flat this afternoon My housing officer chose today to do a property inspection, NOW they finally take me seriously about how hot it gets in here

HORRIFIED 😵

😂😂😂😂😂 You would be when you saw what they did to the water pipes under our bathroom...

But a lot of the time I absolutely love it and it's an incredible privilege to live here.

Do you have your Windows open?

It's 24 in the hallway, it's 32 outside and I'm staying in the house.

No windows, but bifolds are not open. I also have invested in UV blinds for the roof lights too otherwise it would be well over 40 I imagine. Kids bedrooms (on different sides of the house) are both 29 degrees despite having blinds down all day and windows opened this evening.
