Summer holiday moan

On week 6 of summer holidays here in Scotland and am I unreasonable to think this is just too long?
kids are climbing the walls. My budget on holidays, clubs, snacks spent. Patience spent. I work too and am at the end of my tether. Husband works full time but deals with no laundry, cooking, shopping etc. my house is literally falling apart and needing work and can’t get a thing done trying to entertain two kids. plus the weather has been shit.
how are others coping? Is it all arts and crafts or are others at breaking point and about to open the gin.

Mine don't go back till 20 August so we are nearly 7 weeks this year. 😳

*That’s fine - my 10 yo has SEN too which is a reason why I don’t like to work with him in the house. So I choose not to be working with him there.

But up to you what you want to do.*

You sound pissed off and I’m not sure why, you asked how I managed and I explained my own situation - I’m not criticising anyone else’s decisions around their working arrangements.

It is up to me what I do, not sure why you sound so bothered.

We're on week 6 and it's been OK. Lots of camps for the older one - dance, gymnastics, drama. A week away in Cornwall. A couple of weeks of unstructured time but we've had appointments and tradesmen to wait in for, and had some family days out. We have another trip to Europe and a sports camp and that fills up most of the time.

The weather has been pretty nice and there's plenty to do (we are in London so lots of attractions and good playgrounds). I never have trouble finding activities to do (in fact I always regret not having enough time to fit in everything I want) but travelling to them can be a pain (have a toddler in a buggy) and some places can be rammed. I prefer doing paid-for or free booked activities now, it is just nicer than dealing with uncontrolled crowds.
