Laundry.
It never fucking ends. It's just the sheer volume of it and the dread at putting it all away once dry.
The thing I'm most looking forward to about one day living on my own, is having only one lot of washing to do.
What about you?

Money.
Imagine a world where you could go to a supplier and get the food and clothes you needed with no payment, where everyone had a free house, but no-one could have "investments", no one was poor, no one was rich, no one had to worry about bills or plan for retirement.
A life where money just didn't exist.

Isn’t that a John Lennon song?

Chronic pain/fatigue. My life would be about 3000% easier if I didn’t have to constantly allow for the pain, allow for the post exertional fatigue. That I didn’t have to constantly work out a way to go to a place and see if it’s accessible.

@gardenroombeauty
I didn't really mean it.
I've some lovely people around me.
Just in the middle of drama caused by toxic people atm

I am actually a people person x

Just about to treat my daughter's long thick hair for the 3rd time and oh my goodness the combing!

The friend who expects me to look after her dog for weeks on end while she’s sitting by a pool with her family. This time hasn’t supplied enough food, no poo bags and one dog chew to last a month. I’m really pissed off now.

No good deed goes unpunished

exploitative people always know who to ask don’t they -

I have been amazed in the past at some of the ‘favours’ people I hardly knew asked for -

when this you are describing happened to a friend who’s neighbour landed her with 2! little dogs on the way to the airport, but ‘forgot’ to leave her the house key, her side gate locked from the other side, no dogfood, dogbeds, not answering her phone, friend and husband took them to local kennels and left them there for the fortnight -
Obviously her neighbour never spoke to her again
bliss

Plantar fasciitis...I've had it for five years and have had many hours (at huge expense) of physio and other treatment, to no avail! It's making my life an utter misery and affecting my ability to work (primary teacher...on my feet literally all day with no chance of sitting at any point!)

I've spent hundreds of pounds on special shoe inserts (don't work for me), and a dizzying array of footwear that 'should' alleviate the issue, but haven't.

I would love a 'magic wand moment' to take this condition away for good 😢

roughride24 · 05/08/2024 17:33

Bills and debt.

If I could just start at zero again with a perfect credit score I reckon I'd have life a bit more sorted. Maybe.

Also men. Had enough of them.

Whatinthedoopla · 05/08/2024 17:46

Fizzy drinks! If only I could drink water without being tempted

Tryonemoretime · 05/08/2024 17:46

Long Covid.

Arrivapercy · 05/08/2024 17:50

Smart phones. Eg the kind with a big screen that do everything.

The sweet spot was the ones with texting & calling, that could also play music and had a camera. If we could have stopped there....

Tryonemoretime · 05/08/2024 17:56

@Caraxes I haven't seen one wasp this year and many fewer bees than usual. Ladybirds are pretty rare now, too. The only flipping insects proliferating in my garden are blackfly and greenfly. Grrrr!

There is a really easy solution to this one though… just say no.

I have emailed saying this is the last time ever.

dick27 · 05/08/2024 18:18

Cunty neighbours - both sides

Bushmillsbabe · 05/08/2024 18:31

Cooking dinner. We have a variety of food allergies, but different ones, so have to make seperate meals many nights, and wash hands between touching each item, make sure the right item is cooked in the right oil, that no cross contamination in utensils, chopping boards etc. It's a flippin nightmare. If I could afford 1 luxury it would be a private chef

BlueFlowers5 · 05/08/2024 18:34

Winter. It rains for 8 months here and it's only a few months away. Again.

moonshinepoursthroughmywindow · 05/08/2024 18:36

One of my customers who really takes the piss.

(I mean by being a CF, not literally taking the piss as in making fun of me)

BloodyHellKenAgain · 05/08/2024 18:43

My children's and husbands chronic health conditions.
Not having to worry so much about one of them suddenly ending up in hospital would be bliss 🙂

gleefulstar · 05/08/2024 18:46

Sarah from work.

Alsonification · 05/08/2024 18:48

Definitely having to cook dinner every day.
I spend my feckin days trying to think of what to cook. It's a bloody pain.

About 4 stone in weight (prob related to all the bloody dinners lol)

Dust

Alsonification · 05/08/2024 18:49

Oh I have one that if it was gone I wouldn't mind cooking dinner all bloody day if it was gone.........anxiety. Not mine, my children's.

Justthistime1234 · 05/08/2024 18:53

@Tryonemoretime me too, Long Covid - so sorry for you x

Wornoutjuggling · 05/08/2024 19:01

My ex husband! He’s so grumpy and just brings my DDs down!

Heyhoitsme · 05/08/2024 19:03

Mice. I haven't had a mouse in the house for years but the phobia is bad. I check rooms when I enter. It started when we lived in a flat abroad which had mice that came out after dark.
