Laundry.
It never fucking ends. It's just the sheer volume of it and the dread at putting it all away once dry.
The thing I'm most looking forward to about one day living on my own, is having only one lot of washing to do.
What about you?

OP posts:
GoldenRetrieverBert · 05/08/2024 10:25

OCD

Moier · 05/08/2024 10:25

My severe disability and horrible memories from the past.
( luckily I've a great psychiatrist).

BaronessBomburst · 05/08/2024 10:25

Men in general.
Or at least testosterone.

Flumpie59 · 05/08/2024 10:27

I know what you mean! Laundry/housework, I absolutely hate them both equally!

Just us 2 in our household, myself and hubby, but it's amazing how many washer loads we do each week and tons of washing up and dusting and polishing!

I'd happily eradicate them both!

TangerinePlate · 05/08/2024 10:27

Same as @Kriscross . Including heaps of other conditions. Autism,MS, chronic fatigue and so on.

AltitudeCheck · 05/08/2024 10:27

Smart phones and the internet... so many hours of human productivity and moments for personal connection lost to cat vidoes and pointless arguing!

SamuelDJackson · 05/08/2024 10:27

Allergies. DS food allergies, DH and DDs animal/dust/dander allergies, my chemical and insect allergies. Just everyone being able to go through daily life not having reactions, obsessing over food ingredients, limiting their diets, limiting their activites and social life because of exposure, sneezing/snuffling/wheezing/swelling/hives/itch/pain and every other minor irritation that comes with it

ntmdino · 05/08/2024 10:28

The 24 hour day. My natural sleep cycle is closer to 28 hours, which is completely incompatible with the rest of the world, meaning that I spend every day in a mild state of zombification.

MagpiePi · 05/08/2024 10:28

Clothes and shoes

No more buying them, washing them, storing them, having to choose what to wear every day, no more guilt that they are made using exploited labour and use up the world's resources and create pollution, no more guilt over binning them or giving them to charity shops knowing that they will most likely end up in a third world landfill.

SlothOnARope · 05/08/2024 10:29

The internet.

Can't live with it, can't live without it due to work and life admin. Sick of the anxiety it causes and the way it's ruined society.

MyOtherCarIsAPorsche · 05/08/2024 10:30

Another vote for men.

It's remarkable that my married daughter and I spend time discussing exactly how they infuriate us while my single mother daughter laughs at us.

ItsAlrightDarling · 05/08/2024 10:30

Autism.

DoopSnoggySnogg · 05/08/2024 10:31

Anxiety for no reason 😫

Kitkatfiend31 · 05/08/2024 10:31

Work! Much easier when I'm not there.

Cooking. Closely followed by laundry.

Exactly this. The amount of time it would free up!

Kriscross · 05/08/2024 10:32

TangerinePlate · 05/08/2024 10:27

Same as @Kriscross . Including heaps of other conditions. Autism,MS, chronic fatigue and so on.

I think it's a 2 tier response. Things we really could do without (illness, disabilities) and annoyances.

Pastit12 · 05/08/2024 10:37

Another one for cooking I hate having to think about what to have for dinner nearly every day shopping for it and then cooking it . I would happily live on toast and sandwiches .
Also admin it never ends my lottery dream is a chef and pa
Don’t mind laundry funny enough

Baneofmyexistence · 05/08/2024 10:38

Cooking and food shopping is the worst. I’d have hours of life free everyday! Other than that, my DS’s diabetes. That takes up a huge proportion of my day and has really added to the cooking and food shopping strain!

Flumpie59 · 05/08/2024 10:47

OMG YES! NO MORE BORING DUSTING!

Flumpie59 · 05/08/2024 10:49

I'm so sorry about the Staffie passing over. RIP sweet beautiful doggy. X

Flumpie59 · 05/08/2024 10:51

HA! If only we could lose weight as easy as we lose pens, keys etc.!

Literally every time we fart we actually lose weight so how comes I'm not skinny by now?!

BeanCountingContinues · 05/08/2024 10:51

Money.
Imagine a world where you could go to a supplier and get the food and clothes you needed with no payment, where everyone had a free house, but no-one could have "investments", no one was poor, no one was rich, no one had to worry about bills or plan for retirement.
A life where money just didn't exist.

Lentilweaver · 05/08/2024 10:51

London rents.

Flumpie59 · 05/08/2024 10:51

Same here!

More seriously - DUST

Imagine never having to dust again, EVER!!!

I barely do it so wouldn't change my life🤣
Definitely laundry.
