Laundry.
It never fucking ends. It's just the sheer volume of it and the dread at putting it all away once dry.
The thing I'm most looking forward to about one day living on my own, is having only one lot of washing to do.
What about you?

Next door neighbour has an about 7 silver birch trees that deserve to die. All year they sheds sap, leaves, bugs and infinite catkins that fall like snow constantly over my garden. The sap ruins my car. The catkins get absolutely fucking everywhere in the garden leaving an oily mess in their wake. They migrate to everywhere in the house. I once found one stuck to DS’s tiny ball sack when I was changing his nappy. They give us all hayfever every spring. It is impossible to create anything pretty in the garden without it being smothered by catkins and ruined. Sweeping up is a full time job. For some reason neighbour has decided to turn the garden of her 1930’s semi into her own personal forest with trees over twice the height of the house and fuck anyone else who is impacted by it. If someone did a Sycamore gap job on that garden I would give them a medal and a blow job.

Also dementia but I appreciate that’s a bigger ask.

Food. Imagine if we could just 'plug in' and recharge overnight, good to go the next day.

No thinking about what to cook/serve. No shopping, prepping, cooking. No one moaning about what's for tea. Can't over/under eat so no weight problems ever.

Make me prime minister!

I'm sure someone, somewhere is developing a daily injection which will provide you with all your requirements of carbs, protein, fats, vitamins, minerals...one shot, once a day and off you go.

God that sounds grim. 😑

Uterine fibroids

Minor I know in comparison to many of the things mentioned.

No GMT in winter, BST all year round.

Can you gain some comfort from the fact that you were the one to be there for your Gran when the others let her down. You never have to look back and wish you'd done more, because you did do more, and nobody can take that away from you,

Thank you so much. I do try to think that and with time I hope that will bring comfort.

What hurts the most is how once she died suddenly everyone wanted to be involved and I got pushed out. Sounds childish but it hurt so much. It was like despite being her nuclear family for 32 years suddenly I just had to be seen and not heard. I just can’t get over it and it is wearing me down.
The lovely vicar who took her funeral was brilliant-she saw our relationship straightaway, within 5 minutes and treated me with the respect and compassion I feel I should have had from everyone. We are friends to this day!

Sorry to go on…you are very kind.

My late mum’s house. Have to sort it and sell it. Nightmare.

Once done then meal planning will be top of the list again. No problem cooking at all but always being the one deciding what to cook is a pain.

I barely do it so wouldn't change my life🤣
Definitely laundry.

I rarely dust either and you really can't tell!
As far as all those quoting laundry, maybe if people didn't follow the MN mantra of using a bath towel once, changing every item of clothing at least once a day then the load would be far less. A lot of it is totally unnecessary.

My mum's rescue Staffie recently passed away. She found one of her hairs inside a photo frame the other day! They got everywhere. I don't know how owners with long-haired breeds cope.

You cope by buying a Miele Cat And Dog Vacuum, is what you do.
I have had my Golden Retriever rescue dog 15 days. I have had my Miele Cat and Dog 14 days. One Miele vacuumless day was enough for my sanity, thank you.

Also the pigeons that live at my main workplace - it's like they feel contractually obliged to crap on our cars.

Waiting patiently for surgery to remove.

The friend who expects me to look after her dog for weeks on end while she’s sitting by a pool with her family. This time hasn’t supplied enough food, no poo bags and one dog chew to last a month. I’m really pissed off now.

There is a really easy solution to this one though… just say no.
