Laundry.
It never fucking ends. It's just the sheer volume of it and the dread at putting it all away once dry.
The thing I'm most looking forward to about one day living on my own, is having only one lot of washing to do.
What about you?

Generalised anxiety.

This 100%

It is ruining my life.

Yalta · 05/08/2024 12:06

ADHD whilst it might be a superpower it has destroyed more than it has given

RedPoster · 05/08/2024 12:06

Insomnia.

its ruined my life.

Or maybe ADHD. Thats ruined my life too.

BitOutOfPractice · 05/08/2024 12:07

My flabby belly?

Caraxes · 05/08/2024 12:07

Tasks associated with cooking - meal planning, shopping lists, remembering to get the chicken out to defrost, imagining meals that everyone will eat and enjoy are varied and have decent nutritional value and sometimes can be served in various stages to facilitate after school activities etc...

Hair growth. We are a luscious family. Organising haircuts for everyone and also keeping myself from looking like I've been lost in the jungle for a decade is a task. Super bonus points if my leg and chin and christ knows what else hairs, in fact ALL hair, is included!

Wasps. I know it doesn't 100% fit with your thread title, but while we are eradicating things... Fucking wasps. Don't come at me about pollination, I'm just not buying that that they are particularly important. And if it turns out I'm wrong I will up the number of bees in my omnipotence to make up for it.

Dusting
I hate dust and dusting 🤣🤣

Yogayogayoga · 05/08/2024 12:09

Neighbours. Every frigging one of them.

Mortgage payments

OriginalUsername2 · 05/08/2024 12:12

Food. Just give me a pill with everything good in it that makes me feel full.

I do love eating a good meal, but I cycle through a few meals, get gag-sick of them then have to find other meals. On top of that DD and DP are the same and we don’t like the same things at the same times!

MarkWithaC · 05/08/2024 12:12

I was going to say laundry, cooking, cleaning etc, but actually on reflection it's my chronic RSI. I actually like cooking and don't mind laundry, and have a cleaner for the 'main' clean, but it's all painful with RSI so I have to try to do as little of them all as possible.

Turophilic · 05/08/2024 12:12

Fucking pain. Endless, stupid fucking pain. It makes it hard to be a decent human being.

CLEANING!
Why can’t houses be self-cleaning in some way? Or have real, actual cleaning fairies that sorted it out overnight.

AvrielFinch · 05/08/2024 12:12

DH does the laundry. Best split of household tasks ever.

Neighbours. Every frigging one of them.

But........ YOU are someone's neighbour so you'd go "pouffe" as well........

OriginalUsername2 · 05/08/2024 12:13

I think the main problem with being a human is so much time is spent repeating the same chores over and over and over until we die.

AvrielFinch · 05/08/2024 12:13

Cooking. What are we having for tea tonight? I don't know! Bars of chocolate and cereal.

Oh I agree with this! I hate thinking about food, buying food, cooking food and often eating it, then all the cleaning up afterwards. If I lived alone I’d happily just eat sandwiches all day.

Mobile phones. Argh. Life was so much nicer without them!

I would keep mobiles but eradicate social media! I was fine when it was just texting.

Neighbours and especially their stinking cigarette smoke and noisy kids. I want a small detached house at least a quarter of a mile away from the nearest neighbour. But I cant afford one.

I often have cereal for lunch or dinner out of sheer laziness but then I live on my own.

Noneofyournonsense · 05/08/2024 12:21

Severely disabled Ds getting all the support he needs without a constant battle. In particular having a school/college place in September because he doesn't have one and the LA don't give a shit so it is off to Tribunal we go again.

Gettingbysomehow · 05/08/2024 12:22

Ugly appliance wires dangling everywhere and gathering dust and dirt. Surely if we can fly to the moon we can invent wireless plug free computers and appliances.

AnonymousBleep · 05/08/2024 12:22

Nigel Farage. (From everyone's lives, not just mine).
