Laundry.
It never fucking ends. It's just the sheer volume of it and the dread at putting it all away once dry.
The thing I'm most looking forward to about one day living on my own, is having only one lot of washing to do.
What about you?

Illness and disability. Life would be better without those. All the other stuff is mere fluff in my opinion

Fatigue from both my disabilities...

Going to say disability as that removes the five disabilities between the three of us and possibly ex's difficulties as well.

thequickbrowndog · 05/08/2024 10:54

Type 1 diabetes

Howmanycatsistoomany · 05/08/2024 10:58

Ragwort. And don't come at me about cinnabar moths.

I barely do it so wouldn't change my life🤣
Definitely laundry.

I don't remember the last time i dusted so me neither 😂

ChildlessCatLadiesRuleOK · 05/08/2024 11:13

Lousy English weather.

canyouseemyhousefromhere · 05/08/2024 11:13

My husband's and son's medical conditions. They impact on everything they want to do. It's exhausting, frustrating and upsetting.

People outside our family (& even some in it) don't realise just how much frantic padding goes on under the calm exterior.

RaspberryBeretxx · 05/08/2024 11:15

Eating! Well, maybe I could keep eating as it’s quite fun but everyone else in my family could stop. No more cooking, snacking, shopping, planning, washing up… etc.

Ponoka7 · 05/08/2024 11:17

I should say disability, both me and DP. But I want good teeth, so bad teeth can gtf.

More seriously - DUST

Imagine never having to dust again, EVER!!!

lol. I never dust 😂 I don’t think I have enough clear surfaces in my house!

AhBiscuits · 05/08/2024 11:20

Work.
Causes stress and takes up most of my time.

Homework

My family. I mean eradication seems a bit extreme but I've found that it takes being a minimum distance of 800 miles and at least one body of water away from them for the vein in my temple to stop jumping.

Finlandia86 · 05/08/2024 11:22

I think this question makes me realise that I am lucky and most of my problems are more to do with my mindset than anything else! But my answer would be, paperwork. If I didn't have to do paperwork my job would be a dream!

My mum's rescue Staffie recently passed away. She found one of her hairs inside a photo frame the other day! They got everywhere. I don't know how owners with long-haired breeds cope.

I actually think the hair from short-haired breeds is much worse to deal with - with a lot of long-haired breeds their fur mostly comes out when you brush them (and wire-haired breeds barely shed at all in comparison) but that really short, shiny hair on short-haired breeds just seems to get everywhere and also seems more itchy and prickly somehow.

Having to work.

KreedKafer · 05/08/2024 11:31

For me, the need to work. I find all the household stuff like laundry etc annoying, sure, but I mostly find it annoying because it has to be done in what I feel should be my leisure time, ie evenings and weekends when I'm not working. If I didn't have a job I wouldn't find housework at all annoying - it's not like it's actually difficult and (unlike my actual job) I could happily just listen to an audiobook or put the TV on and zone out while I was doing it.

Yes I agree with this. Keeping an already clean house clean is a joy, so I would be happy pootling away if I had all the time in the world. Or even just more time. I'd love to work two days a week, do housework two days a week and have one day just for me. Then weekends for family. Bliss.

DickEmery · 05/08/2024 11:38

Work. Like bollocks would I get bored. I'd love not to have to work.

Zoflorabore · 05/08/2024 11:39

To be honest- most people’s answers have saved me the job of making a huge list of things!

mainly for me- laundry, dog hair- we have a cream husky who’s in shedding season AGAIN, weeds in my path which I can’t stand, chronic pain, my kids anxiety and the constant worry about money.

apart from that- life is fucking fabulous 🤣
