All the papers are reporting that the Southport victims are ‘children’ who
were protected by ‘adults’.

The Southport victims are little girls who were protected by two women, now fighting for their lives.

No one needs to report what sex the killer is.

Male violence against women is a national emergency, say the police.

Close your eyes if you wish folks but this is a key fact. Always look at the victims and what links them.

You can shriek about point scoring all you like but you need to wake up and look at the victimology.

Serious questions need asking about why this man targeted the people he did.

More probable is that he’s a young man radicalised in some way who has an issue with women and girls. VAWAG is very real, some of you need to take it seriously, especially if you are the parents of boys.

Please don't tell me to " wake up and stop shrieking " This OP was about the initial reporting of these stabbing and OP was way off and whilst many conclusions are going to be drawn from this whole awful, awful event and rightly so, you are way off patronising and lecturing.

This Southport attack was not a random attack committed by someone who was just crazy. This was a very targeted attack, the stabber picked this event for specific reasons. He may well have been racist (the assumption most attendees would be white) and a misogynist (considering he targeted an event that would be attended by little girls). We have to address the rise in misogynistic views atm, the people who are being given platforms online who are basically blaming the female population for the problems on the world and worse yet encouraging violence against them. I think addressing the motives of this attack is very important. Also for anyone asking how would the attacker know it would be all girls, get an actual grip. It was a Taylor Swift event to include dance, yoga and bracket making!!!
