To not want to see t*ts on the beach??!

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 12:34

Just that really!

on holiday at the mo and I cant even count the number of times I have seen topless women sunbathing at the beach… next to kids!…on non-nudist beach!

I really don’t want to see titties out in the middle of the day

on top of that I don’t fancy my teenage boys or even my DH having a look at them either

its obvious they’re coming from certain European countries ! Do they have no sense of what’s right or wrong ?

AIBU?

If breasts were part of a male’s private parts then yes.

Confused

If breasts were part of a male’s private parts then yes.

They’re as much a part of a man’s private parts as a woman’s.

Both are fine, or neither are fine, surely?

Are there any topless men on this beach? Or is it just women you object to?

Men’s nipples aren’t seen as objects of desire are they? I’m sure teenage girls won’t be ogling them. 😳

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 13:07

sure
the ones I am referring to here are not British , all Northern Europe

I grew up in Scandinavia it is utterly normal to show your body in front of others. I can recall nudes people on the beach as a child it was not something we saw any issue with.

So you talking about "have they no shame" they do... it's just they do not see the body as something shameful to hide away and to not allow children/teenagers to see.

I'm a mother of 3 daughters all early 20s. I can hand on heart say I've no issue with them seeing a naked non sexual body ona public beach.

I would also recommend you don't ever enter a public swimming pool.in Svandinava as you are expected to strip off and wash yourself before and after the swim in front of others whom also are naked.

Scully01 · 30/07/2024 13:16

I miss the freedom of sunbathing topless on a beach. Can't do it now, too aware of the sun damage. And my kids would probably object.Though I would honestly love to try out a nudist beach but my husband would be mortified. Can't understand the drama here really.

Mirabai · 30/07/2024 13:16

Don’t go to Italy of South of France then.

kitsuneghost · 30/07/2024 13:16

How do you feel about man boobs?
Should they wear a bra on the beach?

TittiesOutPutThemBack · 30/07/2024 13:17

I get the different culture mentality but I dont have to accept it, for now they’re forcing their “culture” on me and other ethnicities that do not have to go through this

funny how I should accept this crap but they don’t realise there are diverse families around (from non European countries where this is pretty offensive) and there is absolute disrespect for any of this

as I said they can do whatever they want but in a separate area!

It's time for this again

To not want to see t*ts on the beach??!
Caterguin · 30/07/2024 13:17

Has anyone else got that 90s song in their heads now, but with different words?

Don't wanna see tits on the beach
Hide those bumps awa-ay
Don't wanna see tits on the beach
Each and every da-ay

I was recently in a 'certain European country' and lots of women were topless. Yes my teen DSs were probably slightly uncomfortable, but thats because we're British and very repressed when it comes to nudity. Which I told them!

That reminds me of the nachtzones in the Swiss and Austrian hotel spas we've stayed in for skiing. Swimming costumes are banned so you're meant to go naked or, if you must, wear the tiny tea towels they provide. (I'm still of the view that swimwear is more hygienic than your meat and two veg on the seats but I'll defer on that point).

I ended up with three tiers of bollocks in the sauna as my view. Middle tier chaps were all man-spreading and top tier was lying on his back with his legs up in the air but i wasn't the head end. I try to occasionally shrug off my natural British repression but I confess it was tested on those holidays,

Topless woman are not in the same ball park (literally and metaphorically).

Iloveyoubut · 30/07/2024 13:17

If you choose to sexualise breasts, which many people do, that’s on you.

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 30/07/2024 13:18

you might prefer a different travel destination. Saudi Arabia? You probably won’t see any exposed breasts…

RisingSunn · 30/07/2024 13:18

Well then on a hot day…why don’t teenage girls walk into Sainsbury’s topless?

Emilywiththegreeneyes · 30/07/2024 13:18

Have a day off

Flumpie59 · 30/07/2024 13:18

I can't stand heavy metal, absolutely hate it so it's like me going to a concert KNOWING that Ozzie Osbourne and Alice Cooper are playing then spending all my time moaning it's heavy metal music!

Sorry misses, please don't take it personally but you seriously need to get a life!

You shouldn't travel abroad (or leave the house probably) then.

You going abroad and then seeking to change the accepted behaviour of others is actually you forcing your pearl clutching culture onto others.

You 100% have to accept it.
You may not like it, but you have to accept it, or else you dont go to that beach.
But you sure as shit have to accept it.

Flumpie59 · 30/07/2024 13:18

British beaches it's not the done thing but abroad it is. Perhaps you could take this opportunity to educate your children about how different countries do things differently.
