Am I the only one to feel abit sorry for the mother of his son?

They were in a relationship until Adam went on Strictly and started a relationship with Gordon Ramsays daughter. He obvioulsy got caught up in the celebrity thing.
He know has got a tattoo of hollys name and talking of engagement. Whats the rush?

Also when the camera went to Adam and his family it was Holly who was there in the forefront with Adams mum and George etc.
I suppose Im being unreasonable, she is Adams girlfriend now.
How does the ex feel though seeing all this and knowing he had his head turned because he went on Strictly etc, and having to watch Holly with her son?

They'd only been together a few months when she got pregnant. Not the best start, they would hardly have known each other.
Anyway, I hoped this was about how dignified he was with his silver medal, I was really emotional watching his interview after.

JacquesHarlow · 29/07/2024 13:16

How does his ex feel?

She's been all over the news talking about it, picked up from her Instagram, which is open for you to follow @PassingStranger ...

YABVU. I wish this forum would stop shaming male athletes who make life decisions others don't agree with.

Adam Peaty's ex girlfriend's message as Holly Ramsay and son watch him win medal

Eiri Munro took to Instagram to post her message

Don't know; don't care.

SauviGone · 29/07/2024 13:19

She’s paid a really lovely tribute to him so I assume she’s fine with it.

More separated people who are co-parenting could do to follow her example.

cryinglaughing · 29/07/2024 13:19

Plenty of people have been on Strictly and maintained their relationships.
Their relationship can't have been solid if he had his head turned.
Also, his ex must have given permission for the child to be in Paris, so I doubt it was a surprise to her, seeing him with Holly. It's not as if Adam could look after him when he was swimming 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm sure she is very happy having a break from childcare and doing her own thing.

Werweisswohin · 29/07/2024 13:19

His personal life isn't our business.

PassingStranger · 29/07/2024 13:20

Dont know but what has he done to his body? He was the only swimmer who was covered in tattoos? The others bodys looked much better.

Hes done well, but at the end of the day he is just a swimmer!

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 29/07/2024 13:22

She sounds fine in the message she put out:
'Congratulations, Adam. George is so proud of you! He doesn't see the worth of a medal, but the absolute strength and determination that got you it.
'These are the qualities I pray he inherits. This moment will inspire him and drive him for the rest of his life. Thank you for giving him that.'

NinaPersson · 29/07/2024 13:24

@JacquesHarlow thanks for sharing that, how lovely to see her supporting Adam and talking about the qualities in him she would like to see in their son.

@PassingStranger I guess you got your answer, not all exes and coparents are at loggerheads. They seem to be very harmonious

Zanatdy · 29/07/2024 13:24

Well it seems she’s pretty proud of him - great statement that she made

His tattoos don't affect his ability to swim, just as Toni Kroos's tattoos don't affect his amazing football skills. His body, his choice.

Why are other people’s choices about how they decorate their bodies such a problem to you?

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 29/07/2024 13:25

His ex's very generous tribute on social media suggests that she isn't as bitter as you seem to think, OP. Are you projecting in some way or what?

BehindTheSequinsandStilettos · 29/07/2024 13:25

And even if the above is not how she really feels and she is sticking pins into a voodoo doll as we speak, the above elegant and classy and supportive message is how she wants to come across so I suggest we let her have that.

KreedKafer · 29/07/2024 13:26

What’s he supposed to do? Not swim at the Olympics just in case his ex-partner is a bit upset?

In any case, the mother of his son seems perfectly happy and not remotely bitter; she publicly congratulated him on his medal and said how proud their son is of him in a warm and friendly post. Not everyone hates their ex or resents their new partner, you know.

Yousaidwhatagain · 29/07/2024 13:26

So you have taken upset on her behalf even though she is supportive. Weird of you op.

Pretty obvious, what he has done is get tattoos.

Shock horror

Feelingmentallyunsettled · 29/07/2024 13:29

I know his personal life is his own business but when I see people ditching their girl friends/ partners/ wife's for celebrity relationships as they become well known themselves I find it sad. And I know I possibly shouldn't but I think less of them.

PointsSouth · 29/07/2024 13:29

Is this an undercover attempt by the Daily Mail to generate ‘Fans were shocked and disgusted when…’ for the weekend edition?

Halfheadhighlights · 29/07/2024 13:29

He is such a nice man, the way he took the second place with such sportsmanship, loved the camaraderie with the other swimmers.

I think his body and tattoos look just fine.

Well done Adam, made me proud to be British

I do realise that, they just look awful. He was the only swimmer looked like that?

itsgettingweird · 29/07/2024 13:31

Unless you train and compete at the level he does you'll never understand the sacrifices in life.

Plenty of relationships break down. You aren't immune being an athlete.

He suffered a severe breakdown due to pressure - he's now happy and in a better place and people still want to tear him down and pile on the pressure.

These are just normal men with normal male lives with regards relationships etc. But their sporting lives are dominated by a training regime. And they are open to public interpretation of who they are.

It's not who you see in real life away from it all.

In that final.

Watch it all - plenty have tattoos
