Got sent worrying WhatsApp message

I don’t know why I feel weirded out, but today I got a message on WhatsApp from an ex colleague, the message was a 2 minute long blank video where there was just a bunch of noise. Followed by a message that just said “p#*”

I haven’t had a message from this person in nearly 2 years, what should I make of this?

I’ve accidentally dialled the mother of a man whose kids I babysat for in 2013 recently so it’s definitely possible to ‘pocket dial’ someone from a few years ago! I literally needed her number to arrange something once. My phone does weird shit when I forget to lock the screen and then pick it up, or when I’m sweaty and shove it in my sports bra without locking it. I’m constantly accidentally calling people tbh.

Why is that worrying?

Honestly I pocket dialed a random shop last week which I hadn’t realised was it in my contacts. I must have saved the number over a year ago and only every rung it once…..started with a P so somehow I pocket scrolled through my contacts and rang them. Bizarre but true.

I managed to accidentally phone an old frond who I haven’t spoken to in years just a couple of weeks ago - no idea how as there are no recent messages!

I also send a word voice notes to people very year or so by accident.

I never read anything into receiving odd messages.

If they have a toddler then I bet the toddler did it. It would account for how they managed to scroll down the chats to one that's two years old

I once butt dialled the plumber we used when we lived in a different house in a different city 10 years before. No idea how it happened..

Why keep phones in your back pocket? Pickpockets get to see what phone to steal.

Lol a few months ago in a family WhatsApp a video appeared of one of my aunties doing a really loud fart 😂 nobody ever questioned her about it because she would have been so embarrassed but the steps to go through to be able to send a video message has baffled us all as to whether it was an accident lol and it was sent at 2am which is unusual for her so that's a mystery that we will all have to live with hahaha

I rolled over onto my phone last night at 3am and dialled the local Chinese takeaway. It is in my contacts, but I haven’t phoned in years (because DP usually calls them from his phone🤣)

Deffo a pocket dial. Why is the pocket dial letter always p?? Because it always is...!

My 15mo rang someone on WhatsApp that I vaguely knew through work and haven't spoken to since 2020 last week. Thankfully she didn't send a video, I think I was singing the wheels on the bus at the time. I reckon their bum just had a good scroll down their list of chats to find you 🤷‍♀️

Either a pocket dial, or this person’s child/grandchild/nephew/niece was pissing about with their phone and managed to do it. My uncle is having a lot of these conversations whenever his grandchildren are around - he had to apologise to the plumber on Christmas Eve after one granddaughter sent him a load of emojis (meant for another relative with a very similar name) and he gave his other granddaughter his old handset to play with, thinking it was okay as it had no SIM card, but it still connected to WiFi and she was sending people a load of rubbish as well.

I sent someone a friend request on facebook through pocket-pressing. I only discovered this, because they accepted it immediately. I've never dared admit that I sent the request by mistake.

I pocket called my ex mother in law more than five years after she ceased to be my mother in law. She called me back immediately. Always was scared of her!!

Clearly whatever they know that you're hiding is making you uncomfortable - maybe you should just tell your DH? I couldn't live like that, you must be constantly anxious.
