Seen wonderful karma at work today

In London at the moment. Went to the Tower of London today, sat outside and as usual loads of pigeons.

2 lots of parents sat there laughing and filming their little darlings chase and kick out at the pigeons. One of the boys made contact with one. Just as I was about to open my month to have a go at the parents another pigeon flew over the dad’s head and did the most perfectly aimed shit that landed right on his bald head.

dad then stands up shouting dirty bastards and then realised quite a few people were laughing including myself and my lot. I was creased up. He and his family very quickly leave. The most funny thing was it was down to his own that the pigeons were flying all over in panic

Beautful Karma. Can anyone beat this with their own experience of Karma at work

I have a family of crows that I've befriended in work. Every lunch time they get one of my crisps (Not each, they get one between them and Boss Crow decides who owns it).

I've been wondering just how much they recognise me, or whether they're this friendly with everyone who sits near them with food.

Anyway, two days ago I'm sat on my usual bench eating my lunch. They've already had their daily crisp so they've dispersed a bit, when a family with a small child comes near, and the kid starts running towards the crows, roaring.

Next thing I know I've got 5 crows all huddled around my feet and under my bench. I was well chuffed to realise that they see me as one of their own.

That's lovely

All the nicest people I know are kind to birds 💚

I saw a gang of kids today (young kids) that were chasing one poor pigeon and none of their parents stopped them until it managed to get away from them (I was too far away to stop them) I was with my 2 kids and we discussed how cruel it was, if mine had done that I would have gone mad at them tbh

Probably the most recent karma is that of Joe Biden. When asked if he would step down from the presidential campaign he declined saying only God could intervene. Then he got Covid and the rest is history. God is very quick these days !!

Lol but the Trump has more of a chance, I haven't been following I hope there is more credible competition than them two morons.

Dontcallmescarface · 25/07/2024 15:25

I was stopped at the widest part of the lane leading out of the village (the only road leading out of the top of said village ), I had my hazard lights on but that didn't stop the twat who came up behind me, overtaking me, (clipping my wing mirror in the process), whilst yelling "if you can't handle traffic in the lanes you shouldn't be fucking driving". The squeal of his brakes as he came face to face with the giant low-loader carrying a digger that I had reversed half a mile for, was a sound to behold. Watching him reverse back around the corner I couldn't help smiling.

Especially since his actual full quote was "I will only step down if the Lord Almighty Himself comes down and tells me to step down. [Creepy whispering tone] And he's not going to."

Less than a week later....

Wasn't it Moses who was told 'Do not test the Lord your God" lol

Anyway I have two animal karma stories

  1. About 10 years ago, I was sat on a bench by a lake in a park, about 8 ft away from two swans who were sitting tucked up as they do by the side of the lake. A group of teen boys wanders over being loud and irritating, sit down about 10 ft from me and 5 ft from the swans by the side of the lake and fire up a spliff and start passing it round. That bothered me but also I'm stubborn so I decided to wait out the stink and the noise and try to wait them out, why should I be intimidated away from my lovely bench? Anyway the most annoying boy is deliberately blowing his stinky spliff smoke in the direction of the swans and laughing and joking about it. About 2 minutes later the male (I think?) swan gets up, runs half towards the boys and flings out his wingspan to take off, clipping the boy on the shoulder and knocking him onto his back lololol
  2. This is more like karma NOT quite working as it should. I had a friend at school who was very shy and socially awkward but a real animal lover, so gentle towards animals, really adored them. We were walking home from school and she spotted a squirrel lying by the side of the road and shaking and shivering as if injured. Despite my warnings she approached it and tried to pick it up, it suddenly sparked into life and FASTENED its jaws on her finger, she literally had to shake it off. Cue a massively swollen finger and a trip to A&E for my friend for a tetanus injection. I think this may prove that karma sometimes misses its intended object.

I had someone driving up close behind me down a busy High St.. I stopped at a yellow box.. he clearly thought i.was stopping for no reason- so he moved his big 4x4 around my tiny mini and landed smack in the middle of said yellow box.. he tried to 3 point turn out (oh the stupidity)
how I laughed...

I told some adult tourists off at Loch Ness for throwing little stones at ducks on the Loch. Guy looked shocked and claimed not to have done it. I said I had just watched him do it, so don't bloody do it again. He looked very sheepish, all his friends looked sheepish and they tried to pretend they didn't know what was going on. Absolute twats!

Can't think of any karma stories, but hopefully their car broke down on their way home or something.

HighOnMaiden · 25/07/2024 15:36

Used to drive an old morris minor as my daily commute. Had my fair share of arrogant arseholes most days but ignored. One night on my drive home I was at lights which merged up the road. Next to me pulls up a suited, middle aged bloke in a BMW, his window is down and he's taking the piss out of the car, all whilst revving the bollocks off it and laughing. Lights changed and I pulled away, meanwhile, he'd been so busy with his little display he'd stalled it and from what I could see in my mirror was struggling to get it going again.

Entire queue of traffic passed him, bloke behind was really laughing and he was still sat there when the lights changed again.

Elliania · 25/07/2024 15:40

We had a ginger cat and she was fine with us and GENERALLY fine with people but she didn't respond well to the people who teased her. We had a few crying children that she'd taken a swat at (no-one was ever scratched) because they'd wiggled their fingers in front of her and she didn't take kindly to that.
Best one was our neighbour, who was well aware of the cat's attitude, warning her young niece to leave the cat alone and then saying "Well I did tell you!" when said neice got hissed at and then a swipe of the paw after NOT leaving the cat alone.

I am as rude as so many of you come across to the people you are shouting at in the street. So sure you are right. So unaware of anything those people might be going through. So unable to keep your inner thoughts quiet. Karma is coming for the judgemental and self righteous so don’t be too pleased with yourself.

My dear, your kids are clearly your karma.

S1lverCandle · 25/07/2024 15:53

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 25/07/2024 13:04

Apparently, according to a random judgemental previous poster, it’s a bad thing for the children. Scroll up and keep up.

You speak as though you bear zero responsibility for your poorly behaved children. Whose responsibility is it then, to ensure they grow into decent adults?

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 25/07/2024 15:53

Im waiting for my bingo sheet to be entirely full before I shout house. I think the only thing Im missing now is for myself or my kids to be called ‘disgusting’.

HaveSomeIntrospect · 25/07/2024 16:12

@EvangelicalAboutButteredToast not your first rodeo? Defensive much?

SeulementUneFois · 25/07/2024 16:16

@EvangelicalAboutButteredToast

Well do your kids behave like in the various examples here?
Which would be disgusting behaviour, in which case they are disgusting.

WickedWitchOfTheEast87 · 25/07/2024 16:17

SerafinasGoose · 25/07/2024 15:06

At Derwentwater near Keswic, a bunch of kids saw fit to torment a gaggle of large Canada geese. They attempted to chase them, brandishing sticks and hitting out with these whilst also trying to kick them. Their parents looked on smiling indulgently and did absolutely nothing. I didn't trouble to remonstrate because I knew what would happen. So I waited nearby to enjoy the spectacle.

Those geese really fucking went for it, hissing, pecking, ripping at clothing, honking like mad. The parents went ape trying to fend them off, and then promptly went ape at me and my companion too, because we were standing there openly and unrepentantly laughing at them.

I calmly responded to their shouting by informing them that an easy solution would be to stop their progeny the next time they decided tormenting animals was a good idea.

Of course, that won't happen. And whilst these kids got theirs, I've seen this happening on far too many occasions in Cumbria. What is the matter with children who want to hurt animals? And why the hell do their parents let them?

🤣🤣🤣 serves them right! I have a similar story. My lovely cat who sadly died a few years ago was not keen on strangers so would hide under my couch when anyone visited but he would come out eventually when his curiousity got the better of him and if he liked said person would let them stroke him including kids despite him not being used to kids but my nephews and younger cousins who all knew to ignore my cat and let him come to them.

One day my cousin and his friend came round to my house they were about 11. My cousins friend saw my cat under the couch and kept trying to get him to come out and was sort of tormenting him by trying to grab him. I told cousins friend numerous times to leave my cat alone because he will attack when he feels threatened. He hissed at my cousins friend and I told him very firmly "leave my cat alone now he's giving you a warning next time he will attack".

I went to the bathroom and when I walked back into my living room cousins friend was on the floor and using my broom to get my cat out from under the couch. I was about to go fucking apsehit when my cat suddenly ran out from the couch and scratched cousins friend on the face and drew blood. I cleaned the scratches and took my cousin and friend back home and then went to my aunties. Cousins friend dad came round to my aunts and started telling me off about my vicious cat attacking his son and how I should have my cat put to sleep! I lost it a bit and told the dad straight that I told his son so many times to leave my cat alone and warned him my cat would attack if he carried on and he should teach his son to listen when told to leave alone and not torment animals!

Friends dad then turned to my aunt and said I needed to learn to respect my elders, my aunt calmly replied "yes I agree elders should be respected maybe if you taught your son to respect his elders and listen to WickedWitch when she told him to leave the cat alone he wouldn't have got scratched in the first place would your son have tormented WickedWitch's pet if she owned a doberman?" Friends dad had no reply to that and my aunt told him his son hopefully has learned his lesson about tormenting animals. Whether he did I don't know but it really baffled me how the dad was pissed off when his son was told and warned so many times and ignored it. Its not rocket science to not torment animals you never how they'll react.

Uricon2 · 25/07/2024 16:18

@EvangelicalAboutButteredToast I know nothing about your situation, but you must see that children can't be allowed to torment/chase (and frighten) birds and animals? I'm not someone who eg tuts judgmentally when a parent is trying to calm a child in meltdown, but disrespect for living, breathing things should surely be a line in the sand.

I had similar. My regular school run involved a big busy roundabout at the top of a motorway, to get to school you come off, down a bit of dual carriageway then onto single and into the town. At the bit between this exit and the similar bit to get back on this roundabout, there was a police speed trap there one morning. No bother to me, went about my business and did my drop off. Straight after i have some arseholes tailgating me and as soon as i reached the dual bit heading back to the roundabout, they shot past, honking and revving. I passed them stopped by the police 10 seconds later.... Now a kinder person might have tried to warn them about the speed trap just up the hill but it seems that I'm not that kind.

A very similar thing happened to me.
I was dropping DD off at the beach last year and noticed the speed trap waiting to catch people at the bottom of a hill.
On my return journey, I had a similar arsehole tailgating me, even though I was driving at the 30mph limit.
Just before the top of the hill, I pulled over to allow the arsehole to pass me and he predictably zoomed off past me and down the hill.
I waited a couple of minutes, then drove down the hill and waved at him, stopped at the side of the road by the police.

A beautiful moment of karma.

That's lovely

There was a fascinating thread recently about crows and it linked to how crows not only recognise people, they hold grudges and they even pass grudges down to their offsrping for certain people. I'll try and find it.

JudgeJ · 25/07/2024 16:42

Yesterday DH saw the boy at the park picking up litter. Dh went up to him and told him well done and apparently he has to be on litter duty for an entire week. Slightly harsh punishment in my opinion but hopefully he will learn his lesson.

Not harsh at all, it's good to read about decent parents who care about their child's behaviour.
Many years ago working in a military school all the children went home by bus. After about an hour one boy reappeared at the Head's office panting, his WO father striding in behind him. 'I gather that Boy's Name had a break detention today that he's unhappy about. He's run all the way back to apologise and assure you it won't happen again!'
