Seen wonderful karma at work today

In London at the moment. Went to the Tower of London today, sat outside and as usual loads of pigeons.

2 lots of parents sat there laughing and filming their little darlings chase and kick out at the pigeons. One of the boys made contact with one. Just as I was about to open my month to have a go at the parents another pigeon flew over the dad’s head and did the most perfectly aimed shit that landed right on his bald head.

dad then stands up shouting dirty bastards and then realised quite a few people were laughing including myself and my lot. I was creased up. He and his family very quickly leave. The most funny thing was it was down to his own that the pigeons were flying all over in panic

Beautful Karma. Can anyone beat this with their own experience of Karma at work

People who let their kids chase/pester pigeons, ducks or any other animal are the absolute pits. See also: people who let their kids bang on the glass at zoos and aquariums.

My mum and dad took their grandkids to a wildlife park once which included a jungle walkthrough area where there are small monkeys that have the free run of the space. Obviously you aren't allowed to touch or feed them. My mum and the grandkids saw a bloke who kept pretending to offer a monkey a sweet and then snatching it away and laughing, and just as the keeper was coming over to tell him to stop, a different monkey squatted on a rope above his head and pissed on him. The grandkids are adults in their late 20s now and still reminisce about this with my mum as an excellent example of someone getting their comeuppance.

I was at a WWT wetland centre with the kids the other day enjoying a picnic. Two boys, older than my two ran around the corner, chasing the ducks shouting ‘they’ll fight back!!!!’
I absolutely bollocked them. No parent in sight- I would’ve collared them too.
imagine going to a duck sanctuary and chasing ducks. Beggars belief.

Nina9870 · 25/07/2024 12:28

Also to add, if my children were chasing birds and scaring them. I’d be absolutely fine with the general public reprimanding them.

popthepopcorns · 25/07/2024 12:28

I love pigeons. So nice to see other people feel the same way

One of my aunts, a horrible nasty woman. She’s not much older than me and my siblings, she was visiting us for the summer holidays, it was back in the day when kids disappeared for the day and only came home in time for tea. We were cutting through a farmers field to head home when my aunt decided to torment some cows, even kicking them. She decided to try and climb on one that was sat down. The cow got up so fast and threw her off, she landed in a massive pile of cow shit 😂

Leggyhermit · 25/07/2024 12:30

Saw a man fly tipping on the side of the road then slip in the mud onto his back while trying to run back to his car 🤣🤣

Boltonb · 25/07/2024 12:34

Pushing my pram across the entrance to a car park. Man in big Mercedes SUV lurches towards me and beeps his horn. He puts his window down and shouts about “fucking prams, fucking pedestrians etc” and how he has right of way in a car.

I politely point out that I was already crossing, so technically I have right of way. Finish crossing, and he LURCHES towards the exit, hits a bollard with his running board. Revs the engine lots of times, angrily lurches in reverse, ripping the entire length of the running board off 😂😂😂

By this point I’ve stopped on the pavement to watch, and he drives off shouting, with the sound of the running board clanging along the road, hanging off his car.

If I never see instant karma again, I’ll be ok as that was enough for me. Glorious.

Hope you got his number plate and reported him, I worked in a rural area and fly tipping was a massive problem.

I did

ghostyslovesheets · 25/07/2024 12:37

We used to tell our girls that if they caught a pigeon they could keep it as a pet BUT the only chance they had of catching them was by being calm and nice to them! We do not own a pigeon.

Best karma I ever had was when I had some twat on a motorcycle tailgating me through town giving my rude gestures because I was doing 30mph - eventually he shot past me - straight through a speed trap! Fabulous stuff

SharpOliveHam · 25/07/2024 12:41

I noticed a kid doing similar to a swan whilst on my dog walk the other day. Child was in a secondary school uniform so certainly knew better. I went to tell him to leave the poor creature alone when I realised I knew who this tyke was - the child of my daughter’s taekwondo instructor. Anyway, I emailed his dad detailing what I had witnessed.

Yesterday DH saw the boy at the park picking up litter. Dh went up to him and told him well done and apparently he has to be on litter duty for an entire week. Slightly harsh punishment in my opinion but hopefully he will learn his lesson.

I love seeing a good dose or karma being delivered and it always happens it always comes around. I spotted a good dose of karma go someone's way a few weeks ago to someone that very much deserved it and it was lovely to witness.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 25/07/2024 12:41

Some people have children that will chase pigeons regardless of their instruction not to. Often those parents are thoroughly ground down by their own children’s poor behaviour and the absolute last thing they need is strangers shouting at them publicly.

The same parents are making decisions not to take their children places in the summer holidays as they can’t bare the judgement that comes from those random strangers.

Crackwillow · 25/07/2024 12:42

Yuk, pigeons are vermin. They are not so scared of small children chasing them, they flap about a bit and then land in the exact spot. Their fouling is disgusting on buildings/rail stations—disease spreaders.

swayingpalmtree · 25/07/2024 12:42

We had horrible neighbour- vile. Anyway, one day we mentioned to her that we would like to get our garden fence re-done as it was old and looked a bit shit (semi detached house next to hers). We were very polite and just enquiring. She went ballistic- shouted at us, told us it was HER fence, nothing to do with us, it was her boundary and hers alone and we couldnt touch it. So we did nothing. Not two weeks later we had a horrendous storm and the entire fence blew down. She then came round and had the bloody cheek to ask us if we'd go halves on a new fence. We smiled and said no sorry- your fence is nothing to do with us, it's yours and yours alone isnt it? She went almost purple in the face and scuttled away in silence.

We then waited until she had got a new fence and then put up our own one inside the boundary of our side of the garden.

But that's up to you as a parent to let let other people's views get to you ground down or not! Why should you stop living your life because of other people?

squashyhat · 25/07/2024 12:44

There's a brilliant video on Facebook of a bloke crossing the road in front of a car (already stationary at a crossing point) ranting and raving at the driver, hitting the bonnet etc only to walk smack bang into a tree on the opposite pavement Grin

Because it’s bad for my mental health.

I hope I don't sound harsh especially as you suffer with mental health but what about your children? They don't deserve to suffer because you have mental health issues and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Blueberrycreampie · 25/07/2024 12:48

It's disgusting that parents stand by looking gormless and laughing while their children chase birds. Ok if they're very small and just want to play but any older it's unacceptable! I will always say something.

No they are not
As human beings, we domesticated them, used them for jobs, got them used to being with people - then wonder why they live in cities!

My DH has formed an attachment with a wood pigeon in our garden.

The pigeon now waits for DH to come home for work. When he turns into our drive, the pigeon flies into our back garden and waits for DH to chuck a handful of suet pellets onto the grass!

I didn't believe him at first but it's very sweet to see!

Apollo365 · 25/07/2024 12:51

I hate pigeons personally. My neighbour feeds them all the time and we get loads of them in the garden pooing on the kids trampoline. Related karma, he just complained to me he had to get the council round to sort out his rat problem. Some people are so daft.

Absolutely. These are living creatures trying to make their way in the world like anything else. They're not 'vermin' and it's not cool to let your kids scare them
