To dig up the patio and put dh under it?

*lighthearted
Obviously I won’t do it. The grounds too hard for a start!
So I’ve just returned home to find the washing machine on with all my white clothes in PLUS ds grey fleece and other none whites.
Dh has done it. I asked him what the grey item in with my whites was and he replied oh your grey fleece I guess. Turns out it’s ds’s dark grey fleece.
I have specifically told dh to not wash my white clothes after he ruined ever white item he washed previously.
He turned all my underwear a dirty grey colour and I could never restore it back to white.
So now I see my brand new white bra in there! The one I replaced my old one with after he ruined it!
Do not reply with how lucky I am to have a dh who can work a washing machine. I’ve worked 6 days this week. Dh will be off for the next 3 days.
He says I’m ungrateful.
I say he should wash only whites or leave my stuff the fuck alone.
Seriously I bought all new underwear after the last time.

I'm not sure how bedding shrinks

Anyway

I'll bring the pickaxe - perfect for breaking up hard ground

And the gin

NamingConundrum · 14/07/2024 13:38

Make him dinner. Burn it. Burn it to oblivion. Call him ungrateful when he won't eat it.

Kelly51 · 14/07/2024 13:41

I've never known any fleece item to run.

Bodeganights · 14/07/2024 13:49

I'm about to have a whole driveway done.
For info its 35ft long and 12ft wide.

You can all do the maths, top and tail em I say.

luckylavender · 14/07/2024 13:49

DontGetMeStartedOnThatAgain · 14/07/2024 10:59

Apart from doing the washing yourself (seeing as he won't leave it alone), the answer is not to buy a lot of white clothing or bedding.

That's a silly suggestion. OP should be allowed to wear what she wants.

KeirSpoutsTwaddle · 14/07/2024 13:49

@Kelly51 fleece releases microfibres so leave grey lint over your clothes.

And does it matter? OP wants her clothes washed properly. The fact I am happy with grungy whites washed at a low temp with mixed colours is irrelevant. She wants to do a hot wash with properly white things and perhaps an optical brightener in the detergent.

WingsofRain · 14/07/2024 11:06

Why does it matter what colour bras are? I replace mine when they don’t fit any more or if they fall apart, I’m not wearing them on the bus to work, so nobody is going to care if they aren’t dazzlingly white. 🤷‍♀️

We all have different priorities.

DungareesAndTrombones · 14/07/2024 13:53

Did you post about this before and got a load of shit off the vipers saying you should be sooooooo grateful that he does household chores??

I think you should bury him with all the grey washing under the fucking patio. He's an ignorant twat and I'd lose my fucking mind with the weaponised incompetence/ignorance.

Why do only other people's opinions on your clothing count? For me it's a personal preference to look after my clothes.

Amateurs, lime bath, can do multiples then.

Curious now.

Any details on how many bodies can disappear in a lime bath, compared to my new drive?
And cost of course, and what's the best driveway top for hiding the bodies longer? Tarmac? Paving slabs? Concrete? Something else?

Anyone know?

PhoenixReincarnated · 14/07/2024 16:13

OP do you have a farm with pigs anywhere near you? They eat everything but teeth 🐖

Well I may or may not have spent some time distracted myself by calculating that.

WARNING graphic below.
So one at a time in bath, scoop, dry, grind up remenent should be about a half liter volume wise. Could reuse bath I suppose ten, twelve times. Equals about six litres so I reckon you could easily mix at least six liters into cement without upsetting the integrity...

I would suggest planting protected species nearby.. 😜

I may have spent a little too much time visualising this..

tuvamoodyson · 14/07/2024 17:28

ExtraOnions · 14/07/2024 12:32

is separating clothing still a thing ? I’ve not known anything “run” since the 80s. Better dyes, better fixing, lower temp washing has put paid to it

I always separate my clothes. I prefer my whites to be washed separately from other colours. For me, it’s not a question of colour run, it’s a question of my whites being not as white as I like if they are washed with other colours. Personal preference.

I suspect your search history has put you on a list somewhere...but attention to detail and problem solving are good transferrable skills on any CV.

Sigh, I just wrote a long post and lost it.
Sooo
I reckon 45 bodies will fit widthways in my drive, easily.

Any takers?
I too have given far too much thought to this and even paced with large steps down my drive to see if I could figure it out.

Missydustyroom · 14/07/2024 17:36

Do washing machimes not have a delayed start?
You could put in and program and her could get out to dry

Anyway dont get white underwear

Despair1 · 14/07/2024 17:41

Hi OP, I fully understand how upset you are. I wash all my whites (mostly underwear) separately and they still look new years later.
I remember years ago when my washing machine was broken, my sister kindly offered to do my washing. I gave her a bag of 'whites'. Unfortunately, she put them in the machine with a red bra from previous washload; they all turned pink!!!! I was upset at the time and didn't have the funds to replace them all at once. My sister was truly sorry but it wasn't her fault. My advice is to do your
own white wash separately

Kelly51 · 14/07/2024 18:47

@Begsthequestion
I posted it because OP said her fleece would ruin the other clothing hence my comment, it's not difficult to figure out. I'm curious why of all the replies of similar nature mind has confused you.
It's a public forum where anyone can post a comment.

Amateurs search online. No library hire history. No online purchases related. Streaming services carefully balanced 😉

If I get stuck it will be rhubarb leaves in a salad ....

Is it ruined? If it is, he has to pay for it.
