They've arrived in Washington DC on official business clutching hands like the Macrons, the Obamas and the Sussexes.

AiBU to find it a bit cringey?

And before anyone asks, yes I do have bigger things to worry about but I fancy a chat.

Can I crochet instead?

All woolly revolutionaries welcome, pointy. You might want to bring a flask of tea? But on no account bring your other half in case you're tempted to hold hands. Tsk.

Might bring these along as well.

I don't have an other half - can I bring one of my cats? Also no tea unless herbal.

He is 'looking far more impressive'. How? Tidier hair do? He is a wet lettuce who will be walked all over by his own party nevermind world leaders. Doesn't look or sound like a man who will be running any shows going forward.

Hi @Janiie !
Hows this ‘walking all over’ going? Still think he’s a wet lettuce who won’t run any shows?

Starmer suspends seven MPs who rebelled over two-child benefit cap

Richard Burgon, John McDonnell, Imran Hussain, Apsana Begum, Zarah Sultana, Rebecca Long-Bailey and Ian Byrne have all had the whip suspended for six months, at which point the decision will be reviewed.

Less than a week. 😂

It shows a fundamental lack of imagination if you think you can get to the top of a public sector organization by being soft. Actually you get very tough or you get tested down. I reckon it’s just that start and tbh it’s sensible; why would he want a kind of Greek Chorus voting like Corbyn did for years and years?

Most Labour leaders accept it as part of the party. Interesting he didn’t
