How long did it take?

this will be my third, I’m out from my 2nd ttc cycle and I’m worried it might not happen.

i track my cycle, use opk and temp. Any other tips?
my first took close to 9 months which I know is normal (partner and I were late 20s) second complete surprise (early 30s). Dh had ‘variable sperm parameters’

I was 38 when I conceived my third baby, one contraception fail and that was that. One time. I was exceptionally lucky (we weren’t planning on a third).

I was 38 when we conceived and it took 3 months of trying.

What this thread says is that everyone has a different story. Some what they hoped for, some surprises, many disappointments, some sadness ….
we should all be mindful of each other’s struggles and stories as well as the joys…

Oh and I was 35 when we started trying.

Conceived DC1 at 35 after 1 full month without contraception and conceived DC2 when DC1 was 15 months. I had had no period in between as I was breastfeeding right through - made for an interesting moment when the midwife asked me the date of my last period with DC2!

I was 37, first month of trying.

But also conceived my older two in the first month (in my twenties).

Took years to get pregnant with my first, with my second (age 40) I got pregnant first try!
best advice I got was to start trying as soon as period finishes, rather than waiting (and missing) the ovulation window!

I was 36 with my first and it took about 4 months, successful the first time I tested for ovulation and realised it happened a bit later than I thought.

I was 35 and took 4 cycles.

At 30 it took 3, so not much in it apart from 5 years!

DC3 was conceived when I was 37 - looking back I think it was the beginnings of hormonal mayhem as he was conceived right after I'd finished an unusually heavy period. Not when I'd have expected to be ovulating at all, not that I was testing - we were on holiday & it was a "let's see what happens" scenario. DC2 took 3 or 4 months of trying 5 years before but I did buy the ovulation tests after a couple of cycles.

38 after 8 years of trying, lost count of cycles, 3 IVF cycles due to PCOS, 5 losses, found out I have endometrial issues too, 2 FETs under a clinical trial across the country and I'm finally cradling my little miracle at home after giving birth at 24 weeks and spending 4 months in NICU. Literally took everything I've got to get here. She'll be an only as obs/gynae doctor warned me not to do it again.

Conceived 2nd set of twins at 36. First time we tried. I swear I could have gotten pregnant over the phone! I didn't realize how lucky I was until I had nieces that struggled to conceive.

Read The Impatient woman’s guide to getting pregnant by Jean M Twenge. She tells you such good advice like take Co-Q10 enzyme supplements to conceive more easily, have sex the day before or two days before for your best chance of conceiving.

I conceived at age 36.5 after 4 cycles and gave birth at 37 to a healthy DS.

started trying for a family when I was 35
3 kids (but also 4 mc)
each on was conceived within 2 cycles.

kids born aged 35, 37 and 40.

So, yes I conceived quickly, but 4 mc shows that they weren't all good eggs I think

I know so many people who took 6 months or more, but got there in the end.

38 with second - third cycle

I used the period tracking app on my phone as it told me when I was likely fertile. It worked!
