How long did it take?

this will be my third, I’m out from my 2nd ttc cycle and I’m worried it might not happen.

i track my cycle, use opk and temp. Any other tips?
my first took close to 9 months which I know is normal (partner and I were late 20s) second complete surprise (early 30s). Dh had ‘variable sperm parameters’

Was 38. Didn’t really count but I think about 5-6 months.

I conceived 3 times after 35, all either first or second month of trying. I did have very regular cycles though, and knew which day I was likely to ovulate.

My best advice would be to time sex for 2 days before ovulation; it’s best if the sperm is ready and waiting when the egg is released.

Oh there was so much op, I really couldn’t! If you follow all the supplements (and I really suggest you do!) then there’s a lot! Get rid of all fragrance in your house, use Yuka app to scan any toiletries and make it all as natural as possible. I was on a really high dose of COq10 which is partly what I felt the key was. I think it was 600mg a day of really good quality stuff!

Was 39, going to the gym a lot. Not trying, a one off that took.

It is so varied for each person that this thread will only make you feel worse and then not alone and then worse and then not alone ....

I conceived my third child at 36. It was not planned. I missed one pill at the wrong time in my cycle!

First took some months - around 9 or 10. 2nd again took some months, got pregnant, miscarried and got pregnant with ds2 straight away. 3rd was planned but we fell pregnant so quickly that we think we just talked about and BAM!

I was 33, 36 and 39 at the beginning of each pregnancy

Was 35. Right away. But we were rabbits. Would suggest optimising both your health as a first step.

42. First month.

I was 36 and 38 when I had my two children and I fell pregnant first month with both.

It took a long time but we got there eventually. Started ttc at 36. Diagnosed with ‘unexplained secondary infertility’ (already had a DS who was conceived first month at 25). Had 9 cycles of clomid, 3 cycles of IUI, 1 missed miscarriage with surgical management, 1 complete miscarriage. Gave up at 40 and then my DD was a wonderful surprise at 41.

The first time. I was 36, 37 when DS was born.

Years.

Took about 4-5 months at age 37. I was starting to worry as my cycles were all over the place. On the month we were successful it was so lucky. I was ill for a lot so only tried one time and it looked to be outside fertile window but it somehow worked.

Had first baby at 34, second at 36 and then ttc for two years at age 38 with no success, just a miscarriage. Tracked cycle, used ovulation kits etc to no avail. Stopped ttc at age 40 as that was my mental ‘cut off’, but without trying at all found out I was pregnant at age 41. Expecting baby number 3 at the moment and pregnancy going well so far. Funnily enough got pregnant during a really stressful time in my life with a bereavement and a house move, wasn’t doing anything ‘right’ to help me conceive. Best of luck with ttc!

First cycle trying both times at 36 and 38.

1st (and only) at 44. Was pregnant within 5 months but it was a surprise as thought it wasn't a possibility.

My 1st rook 6 months, Mt 2nd was a 1 hit wonder and my 3rd was 3 months, ages 28, 30 & 35 x

I was 36/38 when I had my children. Both conceived quickly (within 2-3 months). Both times had gone on a health kick beforehand and lost weight before I conceived.
