@Frustrated76 well they took emerdale off altogether last night for footie or wimbledon!! totally fed up of sport over running timeslots and other programmes just being cancelled!! snooker is the same!! we havent even hit olympics yet! anyway, why does a 90minute game need a three hour slot on tv????

@Allfur well no - the whole point of a football match it is action for 90 minutes (well....some of the recent matches have been a bit dull 😂).
But with the news - you don't always need to keep repeating the same thing over and over for 90 minutes if nothing different has happened.
There was an election. Somebody won. It was announced. What exactly at 10pm precisely was there to report that hadn't already been reported?

Well as,well as all the analysing of the goal/ potential goal from every single view point, it has the potential to go into extra time, and penalty shoot out etc i guess, .

@Frustrated76 due to broadcasting rights generally it's only 1 channel that will show a specific match - so if you wanna watch the football you have to watch that channel. You don't get to choose.
But the news is on several different channels so you have loads to choose from.
Anyway.......
