Wowsers! Words fail me actually, I’m too busy lying down in a dark room. Every single room is migraine-inducing.

This 🫨

TemuSpecialBuy · 05/07/2024 20:46

The price of that 😵‍💫

it’s Barry in wales and in need of total gutting.

you could buy something not wildly
dissimilar on the outskirts of London for slightly more

who can afford this in Wales?!!?

Oh do fuck off. We aren't your poor relatives

👏👏👏

CollyBobble · 06/07/2024 10:29

Too busy for me to relax in.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 06/07/2024 10:39

The washing machine looks totally out of place in the kitchen - I'm sure there would be a market for bright orange washing machines. Or vintagey looking ones - get on to it pronto please Smeg!

FieldInWhichFucksAreGrownIsBarren · 06/07/2024 10:43

This thread highlights how different people are.
Personally I'd gut the house and completely modernise it, the views are stunning.

DuesToTheDirt · 06/07/2024 10:54

B&B circa 1975. But I'd rather have that than grey.

rosyvalentine · 06/07/2024 11:29

OMG. We had exactly the same red kitchen units and wall tiles in my family home. They would have been fitted in the late '70s/early '80's. But the backdrop was plain so it didn't look anywhere as busy as this. Haven't seen those wall tiles in over 40 years!

lofthatch · 06/07/2024 14:31

You all realise this is someone's home you're talking about?

I think the house itself is stunning, with those brilliant views.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 06/07/2024 16:41

It looks like it was well loved and decorated thoughtfully and contemporarily in the 1970s and 80s. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Big respect to the family who don't charged it for the sake of fashion.

Missmarplesknittingbuddy · 06/07/2024 17:23

Its a house with very dated decor. There are thousands of these all over the country .
One day the OP and some of posters ( or their relatives ) may be elderly , have too little money and too little energy to modernise their houses and wonder how they would feel to have a thread filled with people criticising their home .

pandasorous · 06/07/2024 18:07

blimey
that's something
I would redecorate with a match

MouseMinge · 06/07/2024 20:15

To the person who says it needs gutting, don't be an arsehole. It doesn't need gutting. Anyone who hates the decor can just redo it, so yes, for most people it needs a lot of work decorating it, but gutting? No.

Oh and I'm sure that lots of people in Wales could afford it. Lots couldn't but that's the same country wide.

YourMommaWasASnowblower · 06/07/2024 20:19

This has got to be a Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen makeover house! Hideous. Some of it looks like it’s come from a different century, let alone a different decade.

Daisyinthegrass · 06/07/2024 20:21

The views are amazing and the rooms look spacious (except maybe the third bedroom). I quite like the house. But my goodness, the decor is something else!

Humtum · 06/07/2024 22:39

Following on from this article in todays Guardian on staging and film locations - what drama / film would be perfect in this kitchen? My first thought is a Guy Ritchie like film - the most unlikeliest of people (Vinnie Jones) having a cuppa in the kitchen.

Christ, it nearly made my eyeballs bleed

coolkatt · 06/07/2024 22:59

This is they type of
House I imagine old 70's porn film to be made in

TaraRhu · 07/07/2024 22:16

I love the statue / light on the stairs that has a slightly 'blackface' feel to it. ..

OldTinHat · 07/07/2024 22:38

My eyes! My eyes!!

ghislaine · 07/07/2024 22:57

My only question is where do you buy sheets for a circular bed?

Femme2804 · 07/07/2024 23:47

Owww Mrs.Bucket dream house 😂😂😂

Copperoliverbear · 07/07/2024 23:50
