I love the wallpaper in the dining room.

allthemiddlechildrenoftheworld · 05/07/2024 21:34

@Everyreason hideous!!! what decade is that decor from?????

SlightlygrumpyBettyswaitress · 05/07/2024 21:36

Looks like it was decorated and furnished from the Grattan catalogue 1982.
Should be a museum

And not a sniff of ‘needs modernisation’ in the write-up Grin

It’s very busy but it is interesting! Someone put a lot of thought into that Smile

I was thinking that too! I agree the kitchen has its own charm. The black tiled bathroom though....Confused

sabadoo · 05/07/2024 21:37

I kind of love it too op!

Darlingtonvoter · 05/07/2024 21:39

That kitchen is indeed kind of fabulous. I adore those tiles. The other house is bigger though and I love their commitment to keep all the original wood ceilings. They are both very expensive though, £725K for a 3 bed is crazy money.

The lilac/pink suite could be so cute with anything other than black tiles Grin

I’m very fond of those coloured bath suites though, they remind me of going to my grandparents’ house. Avocado bath and sink, with a peach sink and toilet in the separate WC Smile

Humtum · 05/07/2024 21:18

Sage green + peach options! OMG. Thanks for the share....!!

Mumsnet is wonderful

in my next house - which will be my forever home I am planning a coloured bath suite - maybe blue

Beautiful! Happy home making 🛁💙

MintTwirl · 05/07/2024 21:48

I love the kitchen tiles, the scalloped bathroom sink iand the pink bath. Amazing views and I love the views of course. I think you could make it amazing and keep some of the fab features.

FirconeTheCat · 05/07/2024 21:50

I really hate it! A combination of chintzy mock Victoriana, 1970’s tat and a lounge like an old people’s home.Beautiful view though.

Gabby82 · 05/07/2024 21:50

House, and particularly kitchen is hideous! Nice view though.

TedWilson · 05/07/2024 21:51

What a brilliant house. I bet it has plenty of stories to tell.

EconomyClassRockstar · 05/07/2024 21:54

Not to my taste but that is a house that has been loved and that's always a good thing.

Stopandlook · 05/07/2024 21:56

Oh that’s gorgeous

Needs redecoration tho

The price of that 😵‍💫

it’s Barry in wales and in need of total gutting.

you could buy something not wildly
dissimilar on the outskirts of London for slightly more

who can afford this in Wales?!!?

What a bloody ridiculous, patronising and uninformed comment. Why wouldn't someone in Wales be able to afford it?
Yes Barry is a shithole but it's near to Cardiff and with that house you're paying for the sea view, if it was in Penarth you'd be paying at least another 500k. There are loads of areas of Cardiff and surrounding villages, Cowbridge and Vale of Glamorgan, areas of Monmouthshire and Pembrokeshire for example where housing is expensive but houses sells quickly because people can afford it. Cardiff is a modern capital city like any other and professionals working there are paid accordingly. I don't know if you've ever been to Wales but we don't all live in tiny houses up the valleys and get paid minimum wage you know.

Agii · 05/07/2024 22:02

Nope 😀

It's too much of everything. Like a time capsule

HungryLittleCrocodile · 05/07/2024 22:04

I really like it. 😆 Not just the kitchen, but the whole house. I really like quirky, weird, old fashioned stuff! (Being quirky, weird, and old fashioned myself!) 😆

LiterallyOnFire · 05/07/2024 22:07

My poor eyes.

Thepinkyponkc · 05/07/2024 22:09

Is it an undertakers house? Giving me those creepy vibes 🤣

Caffeineismybff · 05/07/2024 22:12

I'm enjoying hating it 🫠

Newname71 · 05/07/2024 22:12

With some money and TLC it would be fabulous!! I’d buy it if I had the cash to do it up

GettingStuffed · 05/07/2024 22:15

We have a pink bathroom with flamingo tiles.

Myblindsaredown · 05/07/2024 22:21

That house could be amazing, but it is significantly overpriced

this sold for 750 last year, fully renovated and with four bed, and the market has not improved since them.

no onward chain so it’s a probate sale or the owner went into care. With no sale history they have lived there a long time. Sad, but it is over priced.
