...it seems like there are lots of conservative voices bots currently starting threads about how terrifying a labour govt will be.

In the interest of balance, I thought it would be useful to have a list of terrifying things the Tories have already done.

I'll start thus:

If I read the phrase “Labour don’t know what a woman is”, whilst conveniently failing to mention that the Tories do not give two fucks about women and their rights, and then saying they’ll vote Conservative, again, I think I might scream.

Liz truss budget

Let’s not forget Johnson sending Rees-Mogg to LIE to the Queen about proroguing Parliament. That always scores high for me when people say politicians are all the same. No they’re fucking not.

Sewage in our waterways

Waits for hours for an ambulance and in A&E and millions on NHS waiting lists

PPE scandal... billions of public money wasted and no accountability

Austerity.

Closed sure start centres.

Got rid of EMA for children in further education.

Tripled tuition fees.

Multiplied NHS waiting lists many times over.

Systemic erosion of the state education system.

Real term reduction of disability benefits.

Real term reduction of wages for public sector staff.

Universal Credit. Changes to disability benefits.

Increased state pension age to 68/69

You know at the end of a reality show, or a sporting tournament, when they have a montage?
What a montage this would all be. I wonder what music they would put to it?

Nearly bankrupted the country
Crashed the housing market
Raided pension funds ruining retirement for a generation

Oh wait no that was labour in the years before they got kicked to the curb last time. People have short memories.

knowledge down there throats with no time for it to sink in. And get rid of creativity. All
schools forced to become large MAT and the right wing press don’t even report on it.

Brevity would not have happened with Labour in power, and there's no reason to think something equivalent to Partygate or the PPE scandal would have happened under Labour either.

Austerity, the bedroom tax, the two child cap on benefits, tuition fees, funding cuts to education, the deliberate destruction of the NHS with the aim of pushing people into private healthcare and then killing the NHS off completely, fiscal drag, Liz Truss's mini budget and the disastrous consequences it has had, the CoL crisis. The Brexit referendum. Boris Johnson. The PPE scandal. The discharge of sewage into our waterways. Tax avoidance. Kwasi Kwarteng. The Rwanda plan. Priti Patel. Kemi Badenoch. Suella Braverman.

And that's before I mention their complete lack of ethics and absence of any type of moral compass. Barnard Castle anyone? Or Matt and Gina's illicit office snog? Partygate? Election date gambling? The list goes on!

Literally gave our money to their mates. Right in front of our eyes. Oooh. What’s in the press? Megan Markle. Better focus on that.

Sent millions to Rwanda with nothing to show. Allowed legal migration to spiral. Allowed schools to crumble built with now ancient concrete. Under spent on recovery from COVID in schools. Not fully banned hunting. Caused food banks to be normalised. zz

Obvs Labour wanted to lockdown sooner and harder, so hopefully the next pandemic won't cost us so much
