There's so much shit everywhere

There are so many feral horrible dogs pissing on front doors or prams or shop displays and barking terrifyingly at kids

I am sick of them!!!!! Is this it or will people learn their post COVID lesson and only get pets they can actually handle in the future?

Lived overlooking the sea £600,000 house so not rough area - people came from miles around and on holiday to allow their pal to shit every where - neighbour complained so someone decided to throw poo bags over her fence - we sold up moved on - poo bags hanging in the bushes all over the shop was the final straw

My neighbours and I frequently get them thrown under the hedge...cos of course that's acceptable...I'm sick of that and the piddling on the hedges.

It's all very well for folk to make the helpful suggestion that walls (or hedges) can simply be doused with water, but why should I have to clean up after someone else's pooch? I do my best, but I'm getting to the age and condition where everything is an effort. (Thank you back and knees!) I'd rather spend time on tidying my garden and making it pretty, rather than washing off the urine of someone else's pet.

Poodle crosses are very often from puppy farms, breeders just trying to make easy money or have been brought in from abroad. Either way you have zero idea of what you are getting. As a breed, poodles are especially healthy.

We have a very healthy, well adjusted, miniature poodle. I would be rich if I got a pound for every poodle cross I meet that’s “mental”, especially the cockapoos.

It’s a complete myth that poodle crosses are healthier than poodles. For example the cavapoos can inherit all the heart problems from the Cavalier King Charles. Crossing with poodle doesn’t remove that possibility.

No. The equation is to a human owner allowing its dog to piss on someone else's property.

I keep hearing "Oh, you can't stop them..." but I assure you that any time I'm in my garden it immediately becomes possible for the local dog owners to pull their animals away from my property.

The dogs aren't the problem. The dog owners are. I'm sick of clearing mess off my driveway. The dogs don't know any better; the dog owners do.

Maybe they do - but there's also no denying that many of them make a lot of other people's lives harder and less pleasant than they would otherwise be.

It's Disney animals attitude. Never mind what people and animals actually need, let's allow anyone to keep any dog and take them everywhere. What could possibly go wrong? There's very few groups of people who need to keep dogs. Farmers, some police and army, and guide or other assistance dogs. The rest is selfish bullshit and most should be put down. So yes, comparing dogs to humans isn’t ok when people who like dogs do it. But ok when people who dislike dogs do it.

I would imagine if a person pissed I a dog park they would be judged more than the dogs also taking a piss?

As I said above, my dogs don’t pee when on lead so it’s not really problem I can help solve. But I agree people shouldn’t let them piss on people’s walls

Again, the individual responsible is the human in charge. I wouldn't want a human being urinating in my garden or against my hedge and I don't want a human to allow his or her dog to urinate in my garden or against my hedge. I find both scenarios repugnant.

I can honestly say though that they pretty much almost always poop in the flowerbeds in our garden, and in my planters. I am not aware of them pooping on people gardens. (Female cats like mine tend to not wander much.) I am not saying they NEVER poop elsewhere but I have never seen them do so, and no neighbour has ever complained about my cats pooping in their gardens!

Looked out of my window today and someone was letting their dog take a crap on our grass verge. Didn’t clean it up and ran off when they saw me leaving the house to come and ask them what the fuck they were doing. Dog was on lead and she was watching it shit so not like she hadn’t noticed. I know it’s not the dogs fault, I like dogs and have owned a couple in the past but the majority of owners are entitled, rude and lazy and really shouldn’t be allowed to have pets.

The difference (apart from size) is that the human is deliberately being horrible. In the case of the cat, if this were an American board we'd be getting most posters commenting that all cats should be housecats.

100% with you. I am very allergic to dogs and also afraid of them. I'm sick to death of entitled dog owners taking their dogs into shops, restaurants and bars and exercising them on playing fields. I saw one today on top of a pub table! Bad enough that owners allow them up on public furniture at all but people eat at tables. Yuk! My local library is now a 'no go' zone because they're allowed in there too.

Dogs shouldn’t be allowed indoors eg. restaurant, shop, cafe.

Picking up shit is not enough, dogs should not shit anywhere, pavements and parks have the remnants, and ppl have to walk on that.

Dog nappies are possibly the answer. Less dogs would be great. I would like to live in a country where they go not exist actually. Dog owners think everyone likes dogs, not true. Dogs are a nuisance.
