WHERE is the sun?!! It is ludicrous, I don't remember a June like this for years and I keep depressing myself with the fucking BBC weather app. They promised sunshine and warmth and now they are saying rain, rain, rain. How on earth is anyone supposed to cope? I am going to Barcelona in a few weeks, and I am counting the seconds. AARGH!

You can tell it’s hot in certain parts
by all the cantankerous posts 😂

I’m in the bath so I’m hot regardless 😅

ErrolTheDragon · 24/06/2024 13:24

We don't get floods, for one thing

The one advantage of living somewhere that routinely has high rainfall is that mostly, of necessity, it has somewhere to go.

MsLuxLisbon · 24/06/2024 13:17

Oh yeah, because everyone can just upstakes and leave family, friends, job, etc. on a whim. Good lord.

Sound alike more than a whim to you though.. sound slike you're struggling..unless you're being hyperbolic?

BeeDavis · 24/06/2024 13:25

I’m absolutely roasting in West Yorkshire

Sorry adding another dense voice to the thread 😬😳

At least you realise it lol. Seriously, though, you're not the only one. Next time someone comes on this site complaining about their income or their relationship or their house, I will respond saying how great my life is!

I'll be honest: if sunshine is your thing, Glasgow is not the ideal place to live.

My sister lived there for a few years and genuinely couldn't hack the misery of the weather.

Boiling here in West Sussex...

taylorswift1989 · 24/06/2024 13:29

It's lovely here. I expect you'll get some sunshine up there at some point. I think screaming about it and getting upset because others have nicer weather than you seems a bit over the top.

CoffeeLover90 · 24/06/2024 13:30

NE England here.
It's shite.
Yes, we've had some nice weather since Friday but guess what's due to arrive by the end of the week?
Cloudy with expected showers. Of course.
Yes, we're not known for Spanish sun here but fgs usually we have a summer that lasts more than a week.
I don't like the heat. I burn easily but I adapt, I cope with it, I love to see and hear everyone out enjoying it. Getting the paddling pool out. Drinks in the garden when little ones are in bed.
It all feels like a bloody lifetime ago.

MrsSunshine2b · 24/06/2024 13:30

Really? I'm in the NW and burned to a crisp. 😂

Mumz0612 · 24/06/2024 13:30

It's 24 here in Edinburgh today it's been hot all weekend

Hardly the same thing, is it? It's normal for people to compare the weather in different places. Not so much to talk about how much richer you are than others.

missshilling · 24/06/2024 13:32

Warm and sunny in mid Wales. At the moment.

You're missing my point entirely.

It is bloody roasting up here and has been all weekend. Sorry, you haven't got any sun yet.

Fluffyc1ouds · 24/06/2024 13:33

I'm sick of the bloody endless cloud in the SW. I've got the lights on at home. It's warm at least and we had a sunny day last week.

BBC weather doesn't seem right though! They keep forecasting rain while Met Office looks more positive.

Cattery · 24/06/2024 13:33

SE London. It’s warm and a bit muggy

maddiemookins16mum · 24/06/2024 13:34

26 degrees here in Kent, three washes out and not a cloud in the sky. I’ve put me shorts on.

Sorry Op.

PS: The BBC weather app is never right.

I'm in Glasgow!

I'm on the outskirts of Glasgow and it was glorious yesterday afternoon and fairly nice when I came into work this morning (have not ventured outside since I got here mind you but it's baking in my office I have 2 fans running). But overall yes it's been a dreary depressing beginning to summer.

As I keep saying, that really isn't true. I'm not a huge sun worshipper, the weather is normally fine for me here. I am not someone who even likes excessive heat but I haven't known grey like this for as long as I can remember.

Yeah, it's been a shit summer. What do you actually want anyone to do about it?

Nearlyadoctor · 24/06/2024 13:36

Grey and we’ve had drizzle here this morning in East Devon, spoke to my dad in Cornwall and he said much the same there.

I'm just venting! I am so bemused by this thread, vent threads on weather normally go pretty well. Maybe the sun has fried everyone's brains lol.
