Holly Valance from neighbours has donated 50k to reform. The mind boggles.

Used to be a fan and loved the last episode of neighbours where she was in London.

Stop the world I want to get off.

It's very often the case in relationships like that though. Just look at Melania.

Some lovely misogynistic comments there.

Of course she can do whatever she likes with her money! What a weird thing to say. I think we all understand what a free society means. It means being able to express opinions. My opinion is that it is very surprising that she has chosen to give money to Reform and that she supports Donald Trump because most actors are well travelled and open minded rather than bigoted. That does not mean that I think she should not be ‘allowed’ to do that, or that I am cancelling her.

Open minded enough that they can accept someone has an opposing view without calling them a bigot?!

Not all celebrities are sanctimonious, hypocritical poseurs. I’m sick to death of celebs indulging in fake outrage and posing as woke lefties because they think it looks good. What makes it even worse is that you just know most of them are squirrelling away their money and doing all they can to avoid tax.

Maybe Holly Valence actually thinks for herself. Not everyone mindlessly regurgitates liberal-left views and then sits back waiting for applause.

👏👏👏

I don't like the woman i never have i don't see fascination there is far better famous people out there actually doing something worth while to help others she's privileged drowning in her husband's money and doesn't have a clue what's it's like to live in the real world having to put on an NHS waiting list for months even years shes just like the rest of them.

Nah he just knows which party is going to be in power next and he's buttering them up.

She has white skin. Farage is married to an immigrant. They aren’t anti immigration. They are anti immigration of the ‘wrong sort’. They are racist.

This
A case of if you are white then it is alright, but if you are brown get out of town.

TheThingIsYeah · 22/06/2024 03:56

@PrinnyPree

I don't think people really have a problem with the Green party.

I dunno about that. There was a long thread on MN a couple of days back bashing the Greens. Mainly around their views on women.

tillyandmilly · 21/06/2024 22:39

We are all free to vote for a party that we believe in - no judgment

I think anyone who uses racist deserves judgement.

Do you expect every celebrity you have admired to share your political views?
She is entitled to hold whatever views she chooses (as long as not illegal, etc)

Racism is right? Misogyny maybe one day.

Laughing at all the "dun nuffin wrong" crowd. Reform is a dog whistle racist party that tries its best to walk a tightrope of plausible deniability, a PR friendly NF or BNP if you will, so anybody sympathising with their views makes me view you as a racist.

Thats why Reform is disgusting, she is vile and the defenders of it all are pathetic.

Exactly!
This is why to the pp who asked why?

Bosabosa · 22/06/2024 00:13

Legal Immigration is really controlled already, it is really hard to sponsor immigrants into jobs for most businesses (my firm have given up, it is expensive and the bar is too high). It might be illegal Immigration you feel is out of control and needs controlling. This was once controlled by the EU with camps in France but we don't have that anymore due to Brexit and therefore we are getting higher levels of illegal Immigration across the Channel. I can't see how the person who increased the level of illegal Immigration into the UK being the answer to it myself.

Have you got links to evidence for that please? The whole illegal immigration thing is such a dog whistle issue. It would be good to link to evidence that Brexit caused more illegal immigration.

It’s not linked. Otherwise we wouldn’t be seeing similar across the Med and elsewhere

And EU countries who didn’t have Brexit wouldn’t be seeing the same issues and major shifts to the right

Some views are bigoted. Being open minded doesn't mean pretending they're not. It just means respecting people's right (within the law) to be bigots if they wish.

You talk a load of rubbish! Farage isnt misoginistic. He know what a woman is and supports women safe spaces.
Which is mote than can be said of Starmer. You need to listen more and assimilate all views before spouting such drivel

Yes he knows what a woman is enough to agree with Andrew Tate!

Whenwillitgetwarm · 22/06/2024 07:20

The audacity to emigrate to the UK, support its financial destruction and global standing through Brexit, then finance Farage who supports Andrew Tate and hates immigrants and wants to damage our global reputation and further damage of finances.

She’s a nasty person who is part of the 0.1% who hate non rich people. When this country finally falls due to people like her, she’ll just board her mega yacht and sail for New Zealand where the other billionaires plan to hide when the west has been destroyed.

Whenwillitgetwarm · 22/06/2024 07:07

Yes he knows what a woman is enough to agree with Andrew Tate!

And to make the somewhat presumptious statement that 'most women want to spend more time with their children' to push the role of SAHM. Which if you are a SAHM or want to be is lovely. But there are plenty of women who don't, and a political party presenting women's alleged desire for traditional sex based roles as fact and informing policy around that is very disturbing. And likely to do far more damage to women who want to participate in the wider world as equals than could ever be balanced by throwing women a crumb about safe spaces. Farage and Co 'know what a woman is' so well they've taken it upon themselves to tell us what we want. Which by huge coincidence is also what supports the interests of men.

coffeandteav · 22/06/2024 08:04

Farage again with his stupid comments.
