Which Noise Annoys You?

My husband walks around the house "singing". Well it's not really singing, it's just "la la la" to no particular tune.

I should be pleased he's happy but it annoys the hell out of me!

The voices of ham actor types on certain TV soap operas (I think 'Neighbours' annoyed me the most).

Football match noise and commentary. Mostly when it's coming from the small tinny speaker of a tablet or phone. But I hate it generally too. Drives me round the bend.

Ah yes. Especially on a train. Since when has a tissue been a luxury good?

Dogs barking
People playing music in their gardens
Arse holes revving their motorbikes as soon as they leave the village 30mph zone

When I was a child (1950's/1960's) the air raid sirens used to be tested regularly. I absolutely hated the noise of them and if I hear one on a drama or documentary I have to turn the sound off

Strangely, my mother who had lived through the war in one of the cities that was heavily bombed, wasn't upset by them

So many of these are irritating.

My GP's recorded message which goes on and on before I can be put through to the receptionist. It's done by the practice manager who, it appears, loves the sound of her own voice. I just keep thinking the whole time, shut up, shut up, shut up!

Also, my tinnitus, which has gotten worse in the last few weeks. Just can't get away from that noise. 😥

Well my next door neighbour is currently power washing his front drive so I think I would say that noise!

I was sick twice in the night last night- ( Stomach bug) and really hoped my neighbours didn’t hear as the bathroom window was open.
Humans vomiting is a horrible sound.🤮

Why do some many men make annoying throat clearing noises? My dad & DP do this. They also sneeze loudly. Reading this thread makes me realise how common it is!

Chewing. I hatd it. I have to leave the room. Even the sound of me chewing. I have to put the TV on to try and distract myself.
Then of course sniffing, inane humming stupid tunes, people breathing too loud 😆

My friend suffers from really severe tinnitus.

He says he has even contemplated suicide over it as it is so relentless.

Seems nothing can be done for it.😟

Modified exhausts which I’m sure the driver thinks sounds good but it just sounds like the car is a bit congested

OH doing performance sneezing.
Items falling onto wooden floors
Chairs scraping on floors in cafes/restaurants.
Cutlery scraping on unglazed plates.
Clothes hangars scraping on rails.
Yoghurt pots being scraped as if they contain crack cocaine.

The McDonald's jingle. Hate it so much.

I think we have the same man. There can't be two of them! Vile noise.

Especially the ones on radio call-ins. All that throat clearing before going on some waffling story. Get to the bloody point man!
