Help settle an argument (not really an argument) between me and my husband.
What colour is my hair in this photo?

Mousy brown with maybe some white/grey/blonde natural or very expensive highlights. It looks good as it suits your skin tone.

Greengagesnfennel · 11/06/2024 22:37

Blonde

circular2478 · 11/06/2024 22:41

Light brown, but could also be dark blonde in different light.

DoYouSmokePaul · 11/06/2024 22:43

Dark blonde

Jewelanemone · 11/06/2024 22:43

How, by any stretch of the imagination, is OP's hair blonde? It's brown. Blonde hair is yellow/golden?

Cornishpasty342 · 11/06/2024 22:43

Dark blonde/ mousey brown. This is my hair colour and I insist I’m still naturally blonde but it’s definitely creeping into a mosey brown now!

SoundedGoodWhenDrunk · 11/06/2024 22:44

Mousy/light brown.

Verite1 · 11/06/2024 22:45

Very dark blonde/light brown.

thinkfast · 11/06/2024 22:46

Hohofortherobbers · 11/06/2024 22:47

Myfluffyblanket · 11/06/2024 22:47

This is what I'm saying.. I'm a natural blonde! Husband (any everyone else 😞) is saying light brown.
ATM I'm bleach blonde but looking at photos has made me realise how healthy my hair was before I started messing with it. I want to get it dyed to match my roots, so I guess I'm asking for mousey brown.

Light brown.

masomenos · 11/06/2024 22:54

To me it would be quite a stretch to call that colour blonde!

Blonde = yellow.
Ash blonde = yellow/grey yellow.
Bleach blonde = yellow/white yellow. Strawberry blonde = yellow/red yellow.

I’m afraid there’s no yellow (or white) in that photo other than the streaks at the front left!

howonearthdoesithappen · 11/06/2024 22:55

Dirty blonde

I’m a hairdresser. If your hair is already bleached lighter than your natural, your hairdresser may be able to use a semi permanent to tone it down to match your natural base.

And in hairdressing terms it is definitely blonde, not brown.

Dark blonde.

WalkingonWheels · 12/06/2024 00:35

Mousey brown.

Willyoujustbequiet · 12/06/2024 01:54

It's light brown.

Perhaps a hairdresser may technically class it as some sort of blonde but I've seen those charts and their descriptions are just plain daft. It's the colour the vast majority see it as in the real world which in this case is light brown.

My hairdresser tells me I'm a natural blonde. It's bollocks. I'm mousey too lol.

Back21970 · 12/06/2024 02:02

Dark blonde I would say.

A few lighter blonder streaks through the front would look great, I think.

Like the length and style too.

theteddybear · 12/06/2024 08:32

A hair dresser will def call that blonde. Make sure to get some call swatches!

I say I have dark brown hair but the hairdresser always says no dark brown is almost black.

I'd say in the photo the hair is a darker blonde. Not brown at all.

weareallcats · 12/06/2024 08:38

Definitely blonde OP!

People aren't used to seeing naturally blonde hair, as most people dye it when it starts to go darker. It's very rare to retain a very light blonde naturally - my dad's hair was pure white as a child and this is the colour his darkened to.

Katherineryan1986 · 12/06/2024 08:41

Light brown, it’s just about the same colour as mine. I have some lighter lights in my hair which are natural (I haven't had any colour or highlights since 2017)

ImthatBoleyngirl · 12/06/2024 08:41

Dark blond
