This covid merry-go-round is never going to end, is it

covid again, oxygen monitors again, off work again, informing all vulnerable contacts again, feeling terrible again. I have had 8 immunisations. Well, at least it isn't anything like as bad as it could be without immunisations. But this is never going to end, is it. Every year, at least 2 immunisations, and at least 2 illnesses, until the one that finishes me off , I suppose. That is without counting the disruption when someone else tests positive, instead of me.

Did you watch it?

No.

No.

It could not be more relevant, but if you haven't watched it, you have zero authority to judge it.

The attorney general of Kansas is a lunatic. An election denier, a birther, an all around nut who bolsters his views with the support of racists and Holocaust deniers. No surprise that he is also an anti-vaxxer.

What about the other 4 states also suing them?

Are they all lunatic election deniers too?

Rationalmum · 19/06/2024 20:12

Here is the Kansas City AG speaking and he is citing facts taken from Pfizer's own trial

The fact we're bring asked to watch Facebook, X.com and YouTube is proof enough that we're being asked to listen to hokum

Show us peer reviewed scientific articles which haven't had warnings, redactions and retractions

I am not judging the video though. It might be very good but how does a doctors view on working in the nhs at the moment relate to this thread?

It's a video of the Kansas AG

Just because it's being shared on Facebook doesn't lessen it's credibility

It's a fact. Whether you agree it's relevant or not is subjective, but you would know one way or another.

I've just tested positive this week, strongest line I've seen on a test so far. Feel awful and lost smell and taste. It seems to be a strong strain this time as I've had all my jabs due to caring for mil.

It's easy to randomly post links and videos but if you can't be bothered to say what the relevance is to this thread why would anyone watch?

I can't make them understand if it's relevant.
Only by watching can they decide for themselves.

I would have thought that's fairly simple logic.

Gingernaut · 19/06/2024 20:54

Kris Kobach is a racist, MAGA nut who created laws which mandated Muslims and those of North Korean heritage be fingerprinted, photographed and questioned by security officials

He has been accused of financial mismanagement wherever he has held political office and is basing his case against Pfizer on papers which have been discredited by the wider scientific community

Remember, the USA is a political system, where people are elected on their personality and how they present themselves to voters, not on their experience or knowledge

As yet, the other four states he claims will join him have not materialised

As an actual rational person I would prefer a link to some properly researched and peer reviewed articles. I don't watch nonsense videos that have no editorial scrutiny

Not true. You can give an idea of whether it's likely to be relevant. For example you could say this is about a doctor's experience of working in the NHS while CEV. Instead you just said it's about working in the NHS which could be about a million and one things that aren't relevant to the thread.

How does an NHS Doctors lived experience get peer reviewed exactly?

Why would I post a video of an NHS doctor talking about something completely off topic? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Why are you so aggressively attempting to shut down and censor an NHS doctor simply vlogging about his day to day life in the NHS?

I'm not shutting him down. I'm asking you what his day to day life in the NHS has to do with the topic of being CEV at a time when covid is very prevalent. Is he CEV?

Hi Rationalmum, talking of videos we may/may not have watched...
There have been a few mentions of long covid on this thread, especially in the last page or two.
Have you watched any of the conversations between John Campbell and Professor Robert Clancy? eg:

and there are others, all fascinating, and easy to find, and with some, but nottoo much, technical detail. Particularly relevant to long covid, and what he and his team have been discovering about it. They are particularly interesting to watch, on a human level, as they wonderfully convey the sense of excitement and enthusiasm involved in scientific research and discovery - well, I thought so.. Anyone out there with long covid might find something useful in them.

He talks about a lot of issues mentioned in this thread.
