You know those little things in life that people like to morally police and make you feel guilty about but you just can't muster up the shit to give?

This is a confession thread. I'll start.

I don't give a shit that you supposedly shouldn't feed bread to ducks. I don't care. Don't eat it then. People have been feeding them bread for decades and now we're supposed to bring them organic bloody walnuts or something? Or some other crap they don't want that doesn't float?
They can have my slightly mouldy bread and be grateful.

I've never broken the law. I've never been to prison. I expect that there are some hard assed female criminals in jail. But NO ONE deserves to be locked in a cell, with a convicted rapist, who still has his penis intact. Karen White raped 5 inmates in York prison. Heads should fucking roll for that. It's a travesty.

Oh, and the poor lady who was raped on a hospital ward, which the NHS denied because no men were on the ward. Only there was - a transwoman, with full working tackle, and he DID rape her. How bloody terrifying, when you are at your most vulnerable, and should be safe.

True. I was raised to believe "I don't care" was an awful thing to say. Consequently, I cared too much about too many things as a young woman, and people took advantage.

Having belatedly got to grips with that, I'm now forever asking myself if I care about something (and giving myself permission not to), or maybe might care but don't need to take a position or action on it just now, or care lightly and probably temporarily. Anything left over is what I do care about - and it's really not that much. It's very freeing!

But it's not realistic to expect the general public to have a good understanding of ND and all the many and varied needs of every ND person. It's too much and it's inevitable that some people will stop listening.

It's different with organisations like schools or hospitals with presumably educated staff. I'd expect better there.

I'm not arsed about separating (our very minimal) food waste 🤷 Everything else get recycled. I just don't care if a few peeling end up in the bin. Can't be arsed with those stupid green bags and can't be arsed cleaning another two bins each week.

I also leave my Wheely bins on my drive rather than dragging them over stupid steps and awkward door and alley way to my back garden. Only one on the street that does it. And I just know it must piss some people off. Don't care 😂🤷

Eco stuff annoys me because one level I care quite a lot and on another I realise that my getting the bus or taking my own containers to be refilled or washing nappies isn't going to make a whole lot of difference.
