You know those little things in life that people like to morally police and make you feel guilty about but you just can't muster up the shit to give?

This is a confession thread. I'll start.

I don't give a shit that you supposedly shouldn't feed bread to ducks. I don't care. Don't eat it then. People have been feeding them bread for decades and now we're supposed to bring them organic bloody walnuts or something? Or some other crap they don't want that doesn't float?
They can have my slightly mouldy bread and be grateful.

Over to you.

So why wouldn’t I want one in a toilet next to me?

No reason at all. I mean, why not go the whole hog and offer to hold his dick while he has a piss? FFS!

listsandbudgets · 01/06/2024 13:03

OP people used to smoke during pregnancy until it was understood how bad it was. Same with ducks.. everyone fed them bread until it was understood how bad it was for the ducks.. things change with knowledge and understanding

Recycling. I do it cos it saves space in the bin but I couldn’t really give a shit because once it gets to the council depot they Chuck everything in together anyway plus the recycling boxes create mess and litter with the wind and the foxes

no they don't, they sell it to recycling reprocessors to make stuff out of

Am I SUPPOSED to give a shit about pronouns though? Or football? Or the royal family?

I like ducks though (enough to bring special food for them.) And I like women's toilets with no men in them.

So agree about the pesky pronoun thingy, I think the Germans have the best idea, He/She/It seems to cover all bases.

Covid.

Packing shopping away in the right bags. I couldn't care less which items are in which bags. They will only be in those bags for the next 20 minutes and when I get in, I unpack everything so there's nothing 'easier' about items being grouped together. I know plenty of people would do a double somersault over the till if you were helping them pack and were about to put something in the wrong bag

When I used to live up two flights of stairs I had to pack my bags really strategically as I could only carry 2 bags at once. So I had to take up all the frozen stuff first, and leave everything else in the boot. And then come down for another two bags a bit later, and eventually leave all the less important stuff in the final bags. It was really annoying!

So she has to agree with you that you should feed bread to ducks.

Don't feed anything to them, noone is forcing you to. Why are you feeding them bread? For their benefit or to get their attention?

Because they like it, and so do Mr and my children.

It's not that deep

Happened to me once, dude (cis) appeared over the side of a toilet stall in a nightclub. I said ‘what the fuck are you doing’ and he, wasted, turned bright red, said ‘I dunno’ and disappeared

Stop trying to act cool by pretending this is ok

Not saying it was OK, it was weird, and I remember it 20 years later. But it also didn’t hurt me and my point was, things happen, creeps are creeps and pretending trans people are the problem seems deeply at odds with solving the actual problem, which is creeps. I’ve got more of a problem with the police than trans people, if we’re talking harm to women.

TheEyesOfLucyJordon · 01/06/2024 13:18

RaverQuavers · 01/06/2024 09:19

But you said all women deserve to feel safe when using the toilet did you not?

We see often on here posters saying they feel unsafe about any male in the toilet, including small children with their mum.

Do those posters not also deserve to feel safe?

They're not talking about four year old boys. And you know damn fine, they're not.

And they all lived happily ever after ...

Except in cases where dude (cis) assaults you.

Then they don't.

Absofucking lutely. Let’s deal with dudes (cis) instead of pretending trans people are the problem. Making it so no male looking person ever gets to go in a toilet seems pointless, what am I going to do, live in a public toilet? Deal with creeps, leave everyone else out of it

Person with penis wearing a dress is equally as likely to be a creep imo as a person with penis dressed in traditional mens clothing. Why do you think the threat level is different?

Killing ducks doesn't faze you then?

Quote from the RSPB on the BBC website (bottom of article on the link below)

"Just like us, birds need a varied diet to stay healthy," said Tony Whitehead from the charity.
"Although ducks and swans can digest all types of bread, too much can leave them feeling full without giving them all of the important vitamins, minerals and nutrients they need.
"So, although bread isn't harmful, our advice is to only feed small amounts to birds."

People's cats. To me cats all look the same. When people show me photos of their cats, I never know what to say because all I see is a generic, emotionless cat that looks like every other cat.

Ihavenoclu · 01/06/2024 13:23

Other people's holidays. Nope I don't care about your delayed flights or that the hotel was 5 star 🙄and I really really really don't want to see your holiday photos.

I also don't care about SATS or phonics screenings or timetable tests. GCSE yes and A levels obviously but a Y1 phonics screening? Nah😬

Making it so no male ever gets to go in a female toilet.

Fixed that for you.

There were a lot of unnecessary words.

I feel like this about dogs. Genuinely find it perplexing when people describe dogs as cute or gorgeous. It's like someone describing a tin opener as gorgeous. I don't see it at all.

Nails. I keep mine clean and neat by washing regularly and cleaning. I don’t understand at all why going to a nail parlour to have them gelled or faffed about with is in any way a grooming essential yet alone ‘attractive’

I am a researcher. I started an academic study about this. I had over 150 participants ( 90 female and 60 male). Majority of women thought that nail grooming was an important part of female attractiveness and defined this a regular (once a month or more) nail shaping and polishing. 0 % of men considered this as an important part of grooming. In fact we redesigned the study to see if men noticed this aspect of female grooming at all. We asked 279 men what they identified as attractive in a woman, using photos with manicured/un manicured women. Not one man noticed or cared what women’s nails looked like. None.

My nails are always cleaned and shaped but the idea that ‘manicured’ nails are attractive is totally constructed to gain customers. In RL men are not in the least interested or attracted to women who fuss about their nails.

Jesus I wonder if I have some sort of weird fetish them. I notice, as a woman who takes care of the little details of grooming and her appearance is more attractive. Although I draw the line at lip fillers, it would be like kissing someone who'd just been mugged!

Pandas.

They aren’t that bothered about continuing their own species so why should we care. They refuse to have sex with each other and have to eat about four times their own body weight per day. It’s unsustainable! Let them go extinct!

I said this to my sister literally yesterday! 😂

GingerNugget · 01/06/2024 13:26

Your OP is disgusting and you ought to be ashamed of yourself, if you can't give them something that isn't harmful to them then just don't bother feeding the ducks if you have so little feeling or care for animals. Honestly might be the worst thing I've read on here, just mean, nasty and cruel.

Bedofroses85 · 01/06/2024 13:26

The trans histeria
Pandering to children deciding if they want to be a boy one day or a girl the day after
BLM (and any other victimicism - I'm discriminated because I'm a woman, short, fat, ugly, poor, FFS.... it's so boring, you are not a victim, you just blame everything you can on others....)
White privilege - specially when this is directed at families struggling daily to make ends meet, stupid generalisation

I don't care about illegal immigration per se. I care if a person flouts immigration laws in order to cheat, steal or exploit, same as I would hope anyone who cheats, steals and exploits will face consequences. But a person ducking in under the radar to work and provide for themselves/their family, crack on.
