You know those little things in life that people like to morally police and make you feel guilty about but you just can't muster up the shit to give?

This is a confession thread. I'll start.

I don't give a shit that you supposedly shouldn't feed bread to ducks. I don't care. Don't eat it then. People have been feeding them bread for decades and now we're supposed to bring them organic bloody walnuts or something? Or some other crap they don't want that doesn't float?
They can have my slightly mouldy bread and be grateful.

Might have already been said but if bread was bad for ducks would we not see dead ducks everywhere? I've never seen a dead duck.

A lot of women paint their nails because they themselves like looking at them. We often dress up for ourselves and to look nice for our female friends (well I do and the people I know). I'd imagine most men don't care about painted nails or shaped, laminated eyebrows. 😂

Bread does not kill ducks. People in our area stopped feeding ducks bread because of this being said council ended up putting loads of posters up. Saying please keep feeding the ducks. It said although bread is not the best diet for them. It does them no harm and helps to keep them fed etc.

People have fed ducks bread for many years hiw often do you see dead ducks. If bread was killing them there would be dead ducks all over the place

God yes to nails. I’ve never understood that, I can file my own nails thanks and I don’t wish to disable myself by having someone clag 4 inches of plastic to the end of my fingers.

Also designer bags. Why on earth would anyone spend more than 20-30 quid on a bloody bag? I like to go into Harvey Nicks and look at the labels on the designer bags for the laugh sometimes, wondering what kind of mug would spend £800 on something just to put her shit in. Genuinely I don’t get it. It’s not how they look, because loads of cheap bags look nice. Is it the material? Because why does it matter in any way what a bag is made out of? Doesn’t it bother you that you’d spend the equivalent of someone’s food bill for 6 months on something you could get for 40p from Morrisons?

When my recycling bin if full, I put it all into general bin. I normally recycle but deep in my heart I'm very sceptical re how much of it actually gets recycled and how much goes into general waste.

Absolutely fed up to the back teeth of hearing the phrase "mental health". I set myself a challenge a few weeks back, to see if I could get through a day without hearing "mental health" mentioned somewhere (TV, internet, conversations, radio). Haven't managed ONE day yet.

This is quite a therapeutic thread for offloading, thanks OP. And the beauty of it is that if anyone doesn't give a shit what I think they can just scroll on by. I am completely done with protests. At this point I'd just make protesting illegal full stop. I can't think of a single issue that someone would care about that is improved by "raising awareness" in the form of intimidation, violence or vandalism. Your average person is very aware that there are a million "bad things" going on in the world that we are totally powerless to change. Protests don't make anyone in power care. Instead they stop average people going about their business, it can be very scary having hundreds of people "march" past you in the street. There are lots of ways to connect and communicate with people if raising awareness is your aim but actually loads of protesters just seem to want to stir up or vent anger and hate and it's such an awful message. The little kid who had "shame on you" chanted at as he left McDonald's with his parent was disgusting. Whatever awful stuff is going on in the world does not make those actions acceptable in any way.

I am so sick of friends, family (in particular) and people in general seemingly actively seeking out drama and misery. Petty squabbles and irritations with their neighbours, whingeing about traffic, shop staff, weather and worst of all revelling in being bitter, angry, helpless or selfish because of wrongs they feel others have committed on them. I’m not talking about serious abuse of course, just regular ups and downs of life, I will always be there for you for serious problems.

It’s like people don’t realise that our time and health are finite and actively seek unhappiness rather than peace. And then come and tell me all about it. I don’t want to know, I’m searching for love, laughter and peace of mind while navigating real problems of my loved ones. Stop fucking living an Eastenders life, look for the joy where you can, and stop telling me about it all, you drag me down and honestly I DON’T CARE!

People like you @Idontgiveashit are the reason ND people feel the need to 'go on about' their neurodivergence (it's not neuro diversity - think about it). Ignorance like yours, where it is assumed that ASD and ADHD etc are just a bunch of 'quirks and oddities', needs to be challenged. And challenged again.
