There’s a difference between a global financial crisis, as Gordon Brown experienced and the dumpster fire that was Liz Truss fucking the economy in a month as PM.

I know she ruined the country in 48 hours 😆 and she still says she did the right thing 😆 🤣 😂. It will take years for the conservatives to shake off that embarassment

Nonetheless, the offending letter was quite clearly a joke

Why did Alastair Darling and the IFS also admit there was no money left?
Why say planned cuts in public spending would be "deeper and tougher" than Margaret Thatcher's in the 1980s and warn of "two parliaments of pain"?

Is there some sort of black comedy award we're not aware of?

Because..... Drum roll.... there was a global economic clash and we had to buy an entire bank.... that's where all the money went and for that little fiasco we have the bankers to thank! Have to say though it was seriously over priced for a bankrupt bank and that is down to labour. Bankers and financiers have hugeee power in the entire world. They brought the world economy to its knees and walked away without so much a blemished reputation, Labour gets the blame 😆

Liam Byrne's 'joke' about there being 'no money' wasn't a joke then.

Jesus, are you going to be such hard work for the next six weeks?

I'm quite busy at the moment - it's going to be difficult to fit a general election in. Most inconvenient timing. Grin
