This is an absolute nightmare of a case. If you've not been aware of it before now it's time to wake up and take a hard look at what is happening in women's support services across the UK. There seems to be a concerted effort to dismantle women's boundaries and withdraw support from vulnerable women who need spaces away from men.

The more I read about this man the more disgust I feel. It’s outrageous and the people who let this happen should be thoroughly ashamed. They’re all complicit in this.
Did I see mention of a question ‘are you trans?’ On the application form? Is that allowed? And was it left blank?

So he’s basically not going to budge and the trustees are all too young, inexperienced and in thrall to sack him (plus I’ve no doubt he’s threatened them with a tribunal as well)

One thing leads to another. If you let someone have special treatment and break the rules and get their own way and each time more people just back them up and agree how wonderful and unique and special they are and how they know something no-one else knows and feel something no-one else can feel, until no-one dares to challenge them and they are surrounded by yes-people and surround themselves with more yes-people.... then one thing leads to another. Who needs to be female or even have a GRC to get a woman's job? Who needs qualifications to counsel women? Being MW is enough.

MW learned that the rules and boundaries that apply to everyone else don't apply to MW because other people didn't apply them to MW.

So wrong. 'Women only' spaces that are inclusive of males are far more damaging than a straightforward mixed sex space.

Will they include transmen in those spaces?

Ooh, that's a beautifully excoriating piece! I've never seen an article quite like that in the press, no punches pulled at all !

The women on the board needs to think about their long term employment prospects/career/reputation and jump - now. There is no way the centre can come back from this and carry on as business as usual, surely they see this and need to think about their own reputations? Because their CEO sure as shit isn't.

I don’t think they can though @Poettree tjsts a huge part of the problem. They’re all young women who have 100% brought into this ideology. They’re going to see staying where they are as part of the righteous fight of the oppressed against the system
