Sorry posting here for traffic. But for the last 3 months I have been doing the daily 4 x 1 minute planking & wall sits as recommended by Michael Mosley, and also been living off chaffles. (Cheesy egg waffles) I had never been massively overweight until my late 40s, I’m nearly 52, but the combination of the chaffles & really simple exercises has been a game changer for me. The weight has dropped off me, chaffles are delicious & you can make sandwiches out of them for work.

I’d really struggled to lose those menopause pounds, but so delighted to see a change.

I have two waffle makers but still have waffle maker envy! I will not go on Amazon and buy a lovely red or maybe mint green mini waffle maker.
My plan is to make a load of chaffles today and put them in a zip lock bag for the week. I have some lovely loose leaf tea that I plan to have in the evening after dinner to break my nighttime cup of tea and biscuits habit, so I'll be fasting for 12 hours.
I listened to the Micharl Moseley podcast and I plan to do the planks in my morning break and the wall thing in the afternoon.

I’m food shopping today, going to pick up some halloumi to grate into a new mix as a trial plus smoked salmon & cream cheese for work chafflewiches.
Had a full on day in the garden yesterday with lots of lifting and really noticed how much stronger I am lifting bags of soil, crouching up & down with ease & back seems fine today. Good luck with the batch cooking @DramaLlamaBangBang you could even do your planks & sits while your chaffles cook.

@ChaffleLifeChanging a really good option for me though as I'm lowish carb (under 100 a day usually but not keto) and am gluten free and I love cheese and eggs. Waffle maker on order

Good idea! Let us know how the halloumi works out. I have some in the fridge. One of my lunches is grilled halloumi and cherry tomatoes in a Greek wrap. That would be lovely in a chaffle I think

It can be modified for slimming world!
unlimited eggs, use your healthy extra cheese for one set.
A second set can be made with cottage cheese or yogurt or quark blended in.

serve with speed veg and you're on plan! I had mushrooms with mine, but tinned tomatoes are good too.

Well I made a batch of chaffles, and while doing that did the ' chair' exercise ( don't know what it's called). I did the first 30 seconds and thought this is easy- then the second 30 seconds- ouch! I only managed 10 seconds of the 3rd rep!

It’s basically a cheese omelette/frittata - you don’t need a special pan for that.

Certainly post 50 low sugar low refined carbs help.

I have found some excellent yoga for stomach and core muscles on YT, which are not too demanding. Great for menopausal ladies who suddenly find they’re putting weight on their stomach.

My chaffles are done and ready for lunch tomorrow. Yum! DP usually makes my sandwiches so he is under instruction to use these instead of bread! I also have ham and cream cheese in for him to use.

@Crikeyalmighty i liked it but I’m a fan of the breakfast muffins from one of his books - and we have chickens so cheese omelette is one of my default lunches! I can see the potential for making these in advance, freezing them then sticking them in the toaster for those days when I would default to toast as the ‘easy’ option.
