May be an urban myth - but I heard that a HV in Bristol caught one of the new mums blending a happy meal to give to her 6 month old!

onepieceoflollipop · 03/04/2008 20:32

harpsichord the toppings vary according to location I believe - bet the smarties were stale if moondog's local hasn't yet moved on to crunchie.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:33

Mine are collecting the dogs

Greensleeves · 03/04/2008 20:33

My boys call it Old MacDonalds too - they also hold their noses and make loud priggish remarks when we go past it on the bus

onepieceoflollipop · 03/04/2008 20:33

Octo that may be true, I heard it too. Prior to that event the HV had advised to just "give the baby what you eat, but blend it first"

kiskideesameanoldmother · 03/04/2008 20:33

"Dd didn't even look guilty!!!!

"

Then it is time you read her bedtime stories out of Fast Food Nation.

glucose · 03/04/2008 20:33

no, no you need to collect the whole series of toys from every theme.

moondog · 03/04/2008 20:33

I bloody love my kids' childminder.
She is utterly utterly fantastic and gorgeous and my children adore her.

I am even prepared to overlook her worrying penchant for giving then Angel Delight.

Angel Delight no doubt you send them a suitable alternative - lime and lentil cheesecake or similar?

moondog · 03/04/2008 20:36

She gives them (brace yerselves) meat paste sandwiches too.

I think it is made of potato starch and flavouring with lots of sugar...I liked it until I read the potato starch and now I can taste potato in it.

MadameCh0let · 03/04/2008 20:37

Angel delight!! reminds me of the 70s when my mum used to stretch one packet between five of us!! And we all thought we were in heaven...Ah no obesity problems in the 70s were there?!

I was in McDonalds today. Yesur I was. I had the chicken caesar salad and it was the worst CS I've ever had. Waste of ?5.90

But sure you live and learn. My dd had a hamburger, a milk and a bag of apple bits. Not so bloody terrible once in a while.

Next time I go, I will just have a coffee myself though.

I have to wrestle the balloon from her though, as she seems to want to advertise the fact that we have been to mcdonalds.

WigWamBam · 03/04/2008 20:37

Angel Delight??

onepieceoflollipop · 03/04/2008 20:37

Oh well at least it isn't fish paste, salmon and shrimp anyone, or sardine and tomato?

glucose · 03/04/2008 20:38

their coffee is awful

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:38

I have a fantastic nanny who I truly believe would never take my son to McDs!

MadameCh0let · 03/04/2008 20:38

that question mark was a euro symbol before I pressed post.

Twiglett · 03/04/2008 20:38

no you'll have to throw the children away and start again though

Buda · 03/04/2008 20:38

I love the toys!

Although am fed up rolling over in the night and realising later i am sleeping on the dog (DS sleeping with me as DH is away).

One toy a couple of years ago was a purple sports bottle - DS STILL takes uses it to take water to bed every night.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:39

Fish paste - yak

Buda · 03/04/2008 20:39

The salads are gross. Burgers MUCH better!

harpsichordcarrier · 03/04/2008 20:40

greeeeeeeeeny! how the devil are you?
dd1 also calls it Old Macdonald's
dd2 calls it "doughnut!"

doggiesayswoof · 03/04/2008 20:40

unknownrebelbang · 03/04/2008 20:41
