Saveme

It is not snobbery, it is about being well informed and making choices. I am in a bad mood tonight so I will say what I am thinking.

Get lost, and allow everyone to parent as they see fit.

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:22

I've had a completely shit day and this has really cheered me up

moondog · 03/04/2008 20:22

ceviche is raw fish marinated in lime juice. My children adore it.

OP posts:
Ceolas · 03/04/2008 20:22

Anyone else googling ceviche?

Saveme · 03/04/2008 20:22

Snigger snigger, Gregg's sausage rolls, fruitshoots, McDonald's.

Tee hee

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:22

Stop fucking bickering

Nappyzone · 03/04/2008 20:22

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:23

Well, at least it was just the ice cream, not the actual food! Am so glad mine are not old enough to be aware of mcdonalds - am dreading the 1st time they are invited to a party there. I would be a bit pissed off if mine had been taken there!

And no, I am not being a snob. I just don't like mcdonalds or the food they sell, and I don't want my children getting into the habit of going there or asking to go there.

Do use their loos though

moondog · 03/04/2008 20:27

She's just told me (as I was cutting her a slice of artisan baked sourdough bread) that it was white with Smarties.

OP posts:
Slouchy · 03/04/2008 20:27

Did they..did they..get a toy?

Ahem. Seriously.
Bin her.

WigWamBam · 03/04/2008 20:28

Smarties

She's opened the floodgates, moondog ...

Slouchy · 03/04/2008 20:28

Smarties? OMG, Mac's and Nestle too?

Octothechildherder · 03/04/2008 20:28

doom

Habbibu · 03/04/2008 20:29

eww - Moondog doesn't bake her own bread! Stop talking to her this minute, everyone.

NotQuiteCockney · 03/04/2008 20:29

My 6-year-old still hasn't been. Thinks it's called 'Old MacDonalds', for reasons I can't work out. He did have Burger King once, I don't think he was impressed.

His favourite meal out is a dim sum joint out by City Airport, I think.

onepieceoflollipop · 03/04/2008 20:29

Chuckled at Smarties I have to say.

I would like to confess that I sometimes send dh to get me a Mcflurry, but only the non-Nestle toppings...in my defence dds have never had icecream from there and I didn't touch it whilst pg.

moondog · 03/04/2008 20:30

I thought they only got toys with'Happy Meals'??

OP posts:
TheDevilWearsPenneys · 03/04/2008 20:30

Just get over it.

And chuck out the toys, they are a choking hazard.

harpsichordcarrier · 03/04/2008 20:30

too late for an April Fool moony
anyway the McFlurry is Crunchie at the moment, not Smarties
apparently

onepieceoflollipop · 03/04/2008 20:31

Yes my dd1 (4 years) calls it Old Macdonalds too - sweet innocent little babes don't know any different.

TIP: if you do relent and buy a Happy Meal anyone, hide the toy in case a mnetter calls round. (not that I would you understand!)

moondog · 03/04/2008 20:31

I'm not joking!
(Althoguh it would have bee na cracker)

Perhaps MDs in rural north Wales take more time to change seasonal menu?
