Israel and Eurovision

I've seen all the protests that Israel shouldn't have been allowed to enter the Eurovision. I don't think politics should be part of eurovision

Has everyone forgotten that a lot of countries at this stage have invaded each other, and that a lot of countries have a bloody and violent past.

The United Kingdom invaded many countries and massacred and killed many many people in the past.

Germany have obviously started two world wars.

Spain have invaded countries and done a lot of brutality to people in the past.

Should none of these countries be allowed to enter eurovision then. If we are going to put politics into it, nearly every European country would be banned from eurovision.

Israel is far from the only country in the world that have invaded and massacred people. Its awful, but it has also been awful when other countries did it. And many of them have. So I'm not sure why there was just the call for Israel to be banned

It is, of course, your choice but if accusations of anti-Semitism are made towards someone it is better to report them to MNHQ as well so that they can be investigated and if they are deemed anti-Semitic they will be taken down.

Then there will be no confusion either way.

Everyone gets to learn ….It will stop confusion…….For everyone’s sake.

Yes it’s interesting isn’t it! The IHRA are referred to in so much literature and research produced by academics of membership countries, so I do wonder the reasoning behind why some aren’t members

I always think sport should transcend political stuff too. You train for years to be told you can't compete because your county (and you have no control over it) is at war or doing something objectionable that you don't agree with

You may not believe that but it is what's happening. You may not see it but it's there. It's in the media, it's certainly in Israeli communications with the international media. And just speaking for their communications with the Irish media, they have been nothing short of rabid in their hatred about Hamas (fair enough). Which unfortunately has translated into murder in Gaza. Any questioning about their own conduct results in hysterical screaming.They have not discerned between 'the Hamas' and every other poor sod living in Gaza. And they're sticking their fingers in their ears and singing la la la while they murder the Gazans (Hamas' or not Hamas').

With respect casting doubt on aspects of Holocaust victim stories IS a form of Holocaust denial. So yes I do ‘dare’.

I understand you were having fun with the PROVE IT passive aggressive comments but on some things you just don’t go there.

Sadly the large wealth of Holocaust proof about the actual treatment of Newish people by civilians is in survivor testimonies. There’s plenty out there, my great grandma’s included (she even had things thrown at her on the way in).

What kind of proof are you after?

I mean I’m willing to believe you are not in fact a Holocaust denier and that you just took your “prove it” comments too far - but if you want proof whilst I don’t usually send Holocaust proof to Holocaust deniers ill make an exception
