To ask … where sells nice clothes for little boys?

When DS was a baby and younger toddler I went high end: JoJo, Boden, Fat Face even, to get nice clothes that weren’t covered in dinosaurs.

He is now 3 and I’m struggling a bit. Supermarkets are dominated by black, grey and khaki or garish colours and dinosaurs still prevail. (DS has no real interest in them.)

Wondering where I might not have looked as I could do with updating his summer wardrobe. I don’t want him to look like a girl but just not dull stuff or ugly stuff!

Mayoral are nice for boys clothing.

also look at Molo, they have some lovely boys tops

ToRecordOnlyWater · 08/05/2024 18:18

I shop mostly on Vinted for higher-end stuff (baby/kid clothes resale value sucks so can get great bargains)- my son is only 7 months but we love Frugi, Polarn O. Pyret, Jojo, Maxomorra, Duns Sweden, Next for stuff that’s super bright and fun! We get lots of comments on how unusual his clothes are.

Perfect28 · 08/05/2024 19:53

I just shop across the boys and girls section. I don't really understand the 'look like a girl' comment.

Lostthetastefordahlias · 08/05/2024 20:13

Newbie boys is cute.

TribeofFfive · 08/05/2024 20:14

I shop at next & Zara for my boys. Mainly neutrals and pastels. Also got them some hoodie & shorts sets from M&S recently.

TheKeatingFive · 08/05/2024 20:28

I really miss Debenhams for this.

But, Next has good stuff for the little ones, M&S is ok. I love Fat face for boys and Monsoon (though very limited) has nice bits and pieces

surreygirl1987 · 08/05/2024 20:30

Next and TU (Sainsburys), and sometimes Matalan and M&S are my go-to favourites. BlueZoo can be good too. But JoJo does cater for older children too you know, so you can still shop there. I fully agree with you re boys' clothes. I use Vinted almost exclusively now as I can see so much more choice in one go; I've just picked up some absolutely gorgeous summer bits for my two boys!

Yes, you do 🙄

Oh, Fatface, Boden and Frugi are good too. Pricier than I can afford so I get second hand.

butonlyone · 08/05/2024 20:31

JoJo is lovely but I am finding their boys clothes very, very same-y.

I’m very anti character and dinosaur clothing 🙈 Next, Asda, Zara and I actually get loads for my little boy from Shein. Some of it is rubbish but a lot of it is actually good quality.

MultiplaLight · 08/05/2024 20:37

Little green radicals - not the cheapest but nice splashes of colour.

TU at sainsburys

Fatface can be good, but small range.

At 6, Jojo is too small, he's not a baby.

butonlyone · 08/05/2024 20:37

He’s not 6. Second paragraph.

Little Green Radicals is lovely but so so expensive.

DS is five I get basics from next, m&S and h&m but most of his stuff is Boden, joules, fat face, less frugi now other than snugglesuits for after swimming and the fleeces generally because I find the colours fade quickly. It washes well and has a decent resale market. I used to buy bundles second hand for nursery on Facebook groups. You can get some nice bits on la redoute too but that's more hit and miss

Whyhaveibeencutoutofmamsnot · 08/05/2024 20:39

Enjoy your choice while you can - there is absolutely nothing when they are ten

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 08/05/2024 20:39

Oh and lindex for leggings! Especially the brushed cotton inside ones

Mintearo7 · 08/05/2024 20:40

River island is worth a look

Nail123 · 08/05/2024 20:41

I found that once the boys get past age 4/5, the clothes get darker! If you shop around you can get a few bright t shirts, but they are few and far between!

Primark, Sainsburys, Tescos and Matalan are where I’ve found a few.

butonlyone · 08/05/2024 20:41

I can imagine @Whyhaveibeencutoutofmamsnot Sad I have a younger girl and absolutely spoilt for choice for her. It’s an issue!

My son is 5 and we get most of his clothes from Polarn O Pyret or Boden.

SpringKitten · 08/05/2024 20:49

Can I recommend Benetton kids? Colour and no dinosaurs.

PifandHercule · 08/05/2024 20:50

Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, Next.

Perfect28 · 08/05/2024 20:56

@butonlyone no, I don't.
