The past election/PM changes have been horrendous. The visceral disappointment was awful each time.

I can’t wait to actually celebrate this year. I know, I know, Labour are going to set fire to the economy and tax everyone £3mil each and it’ll cost you 4 trillion a month to send you kid to private school, and all women will perish immediately because only Tories know what a woman is Hmm

But finally! It’s been a long fucking time coming.

Nah Crappy. Do not make things up. However your camp throws racist and far right as a way to insult and discredit very often.

You don’t think this is racist?

^West Yorkshire Police is investigating alleged racist comments made by Tory party donor Frank Hester about Diane Abbott at a meeting in 2019.
The force said on Friday it was working to establish whether a crime had been committed after the businessman allegedly said Ms Abbott, Britain's longest-serving black MP, made him "want to hate all black women" and that she "should be shot".^

Frank Hester: who is he and what did he say about MP Diane Abbott?

The Tories are under huge pressure to return £10m from their ‘biggest ever donor’ amid the fallout from his alleged remarks

Not in the least bit excited
i despise all politicians and Starmers mob will be no better than Sunaks mob.
No one is going to fix education
no one is going to fix the NHS
unless they throw vast amounts of money at it, the sort of sums that mean the base rate of tax is 33% and get they get rid of all the wokery shite that costs billions and benefits no one

BIWI · 05/05/2024 22:38

Well that's an intelligent response. Not.

SherbsL · 05/05/2024 22:39

Thanks for the links you’ve posted.
I can’t seem to find the information about bursaries for students with SEN who are struggling in state schools? Please advise.
Also, the media coverage/publicity is about the rare example of a student from a council estate, as opposed to the 20 Prime Ministers who have attended the school - why do you think that is?

Bululu · 05/05/2024 22:40

Once Labour is in it is going to be like Biden in the US a total shit show that most of us can see from now.

BIWI · 05/05/2024 22:02

I don't think that Susan Hall's way of debating her political position against Sadiq Khan's was especially kind, actually. Given that she joined at least 6 different Facebook groups to denounce him, including some horrific racist language and wishing that he'd been taken out like Princess Diana Shock

? The pp said ‘The only people who throw insults around on here are vehement Labour supporters’

By that I take it she meant the people on here.

Totally agree. I do love that people believe labour are going to sail in and fix everything and are in it ‘for the people’ 😂I don’t trust any politicians and I don’t believe anything will change, in fact I’m fearful for most in the middle it will get worse

Nobody believes that. I’m looking forward to a responsible government compromised of grown ups. How lovely it would be to have the same PM for five years and no infighting.

2dogsandabudgie · 05/05/2024 22:46

I think it will be a bit of a damp squib.

You prefer Trump?

John Mearsheimer, Distinguished Service Professor at U Chicago and co author of "The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy". A scholar's scholar. He said: "Trump was not someone who was interested in running around the world and doing social engineering at the end of a rifle barrel, like many of his predecessors were. Trump, for all of his flaws, is not a warmonger. And he brags about the fact that he was the only president in recent times who didn't start a war during his 4 years in the White House, and that's true." So not a genocide-lover like Joe Biden at least.

Bululu · 05/05/2024 22:49

@You prefer Trump

I did not mentioned Trump but you asked just to put me in the little pigeon hold of the oh Trump supporters are so thick. You can go to hell.

Biden has been a shit president that has really affected the US and beyond which exactly what they were saying Trump was about to do.

BIWI · 05/05/2024 22:50

I think it's going to be a total nightmare for Labour party, if/when they come to power, to be able to sort all the issues that the current government have allowed to happen. It's not going to be possible or easy to overturn or reverse many of the awful financial situations that we've ended up in, quickly.

That said, I'm sure (at least I hope so!) that they have a plan for the first 100 days.

I remember back when Tony Blair's government was voted in, in 1997, things changed/happened straight away. It really was truly amazing. I'm hoping therefore that the Labour party have a similar plan, and that they're playing it very close to their chests, for fear that the Tories are going to steal their policies from them!

Grown ups? Like people who call fellow MPs ‘scum’ ‘transphobic’ ‘dwarfs’ etc? Or like grown ups who don’t understand scientific fact? Grown ups who lie? Grown ups who stop speaking to fellow MPs because they say something they don’t like? Boo hoo. Gwown ups indeed.
