Two men, one 20s other indeterminate age 50ish, could have had a hard paper round, got on my bus, every other word F. Older guy wants plenty of legroom to "stretch the fuckers". They're just legs fgs. He's got phone wallpaper that says "I identify as a cunt". I think they're pointless.

I was with you about the excessive swearing - and I have a vocabulary like a sailor - as I think it should be moderated around children.

BUT you lost me “foul mouthed pair of tattooed chavs”. Your attitude is far more offensive to me.

Tattoos are no longer a marker of social class. That’s your prejudice showing.

Chav is a disgusting way to talk about someone who has had less privilege and less opportunity than you.

Tattoos are vile. And no apologies about having my own opinion on them. I don’t associate with anyone who has a tattoo.

Dacadactyl · 27/04/2024 12:56

I think we can be fairly confident they were jobless.

Now I know it's a wind up.

Samantha Cameron, aristocrat, multimillionaire entrepreneur and wife of a former PM will be so upset to hear she’s blackballed from your social circle.

How do you know? Have you seen them all naked?

TheShellBeach · 27/04/2024 13:01

I don't think I know anyone who has a tattoo.

MonsteraMama · 27/04/2024 13:02

Surely the bus is beneath you OP? Full of peasants and all that. Stick to the chauffeured Roller and you'll be much happier, nice and cosseted away from the plebs.

I think we can be fairly confident they were jobless.

Why? Because they’re loud, swear and manspread?

I know plenty of men in senior jobs or running their own successful businesses who answer to this description.

And I’ve seen many more on the tube who are exactly the same as the blokes on OP’s bus but wearing expensive clothing or suits and are obviously in good jobs.

The chauffeur might be a peasant, though.
Or a pleb.
Or both.

🤣

mibbelucieachwell · 27/04/2024 13:20

I wouldn't have liked that either OP. It's nothing to do with perceived classism - plenty of 'posh' people are very sweary.

And it's not the norm in most of Scotland as far as I can see.

Couldn’t care less. She’s shown her true colours with that revolting tattoo.

What do tattoos represent to you?

StridTheKiller · 27/04/2024 13:27

It's a windy paper round, hence the face looking wethered, not a hard paper round, which makes no sense. Just saying.

HelloDenise · 27/04/2024 14:13

SoupDragon · 27/04/2024 10:47

You did say that.

I don't give a fig what they think or what you think of me for that matter.

I said I don't care what those two passengers and the person to whom I was replying think. Not everybody else, ever, in whole universe.

OP, your life sounds miserable.

How do you manage to deduce what my whole life is like from one thread on Mumsnet? That's an amazing skill you have there. You're omniscient! Do you have the winning lottery numbers as well?

That's probably true. And I don't give a 🙈🙈🙈 what a foul mouthed pair of tattooed chavs think about me as I don't identify as a CU Next Tuesday. I'll try and get his number for you next time I see him as you seem to think he's just a nice guy!

I think I’d rather hang out with them and their swearing rather than you and your prejudices!

@OnigiriJones i have lots of tattoos (some of them are vile to be fair but we live and learn). I am also a nurse who has dedicated the past 20 yrs of my life to the care of others. I foster abandoned animals and volunteer for multiple charities… I can’t understand how my tattoos would counter all that and make you not choose to associate or even try and get to know someone like me?
And, because im really interested not trying to start an argument. What would you do if we got to know each other, got on and then you discovered the dreaded tattoos ? Would you unfriend someone? Sorry for quizzing I am really interested.

GoodAfternoonGoodEveningAndGoodnight · 27/04/2024 15:38

YANBU
Some people manage to shoehorn a swear into every single sentence, it just sounds so ridiculous and needlessly aggressive/ rough.

"I were walking down fuckin street, right, I said to me fuckin mate did yet fuckin see that on fuckin telly last night?"
"I got myself some fuckin shoes other day (what, they fuck, do they, interesting 😁)"
"What you havin for your fuckin tea I'm havin fuckin pie and chips"

Just...... why?! 😂
